What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

Dhage wale Kabab from Waheed Kabab House at Burns Road with Dahi and Taftan (Sheermal were finished ).

Lassi to finish :inzi

Got some Rabri from Delhi Rabri House, but no space left after the Lassi. So that will have to wait.

Flatmate's girlfriend works at nandos so I got some free nandos chicken the other day as they had lots of left overs :)

Yeah I think that's the one. Looks a little different at night. Also the pic is a bit old.

Don't go by the look though. You will never taste such awesome kababs unless you come here. :sarf2

Maryland jumbo Crab Cakes. Had a work lunch so had to keep it a little light...Crab has to be one of the best tasting crustaceans out there.

Had 1st match of season today, fielding (and bowling) for 50 overs in 22 degrees was difficult work so was looking forward to food in innings break. sandwiches, crisps, cakes, falafels, cheese and onion pastry things, juice etc. Was the best part as we lost by 182 runs :(

Kichri with aloo gajar aur mattar sabzi :danish

All of you folks having gourmet meal every single time, apko Allah poochay ga

Had a very long day yesterday so mum made biryani and bhuni chicken. Washed down with a cold coke which felt good on a hot day

Mum made some seekh kebabs a while ago, took them to uni and froze them, so have been eating a lot of those recently as I'm moving out today, don't want to bin it ;)

Last evening parents came to pick me up from university as was coming home for summer. However if we came home and had dinner would have got late so met up with couple relatives and went to buffet in Birmingham. Was asian food, I avoided the most unhealthy stuff and just stuck to protein stuff such as kebabs and malai chicken boti, had to give the oily currys, desserts etc a miss.

Today played a cricket match, started chucking it down after 7 overs so match was inevitably got called off but we still got the food and man, it made the almost 1 hour drive worth it. There were home made cakes, brownies, flapjacks etc and they were absolutely beautiful.

Had prawns for first time in ages. In a thai red curry with (coconut) rice :)

Recently I've been having oatmeal in the morning by just adding boiling water then few other things like bananas etc and stirring it as opposed to having overnight oats - I like oats a lot :)

Last night mum made chicken burgers, had them in bun with little bit of coleslaw, ketchup, fried egg, sweet potato fries, cheese etc.

Delhi dal makani earlier

Also tried quorn vegetarian steak, was okay but nowhere near real meat

Expecting this thread to be very active in Ramadhan :)

Last night mum made lots of food, although my dad is the only one in my household who fasts.

Sweet and sour chicken wings with noodles :) really nice

Chicken Korma

Roti

Channa Chaat

Lamb Pasanda last night with mattar pulao :)

Fruit Chaat and yogurt with honey, nuts, cacao nibs, peanut butter etc as well after dinner ;)

Mum made a really nice pasta sauce. Was tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, spinach etc and added some cream cheese which, as you would expect, made the sauce, creamy. Also some olive oil for flavour as well. Had that with pasta and a quorn vegetarian steak, pretty nice lunch :)
