What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

What did ya'll eat for eid? For us, channa, malai chicken boti, lamb ghosht, fish salaan, potatoes, gulawat kebab, golaa kebabs, biryani etc etc. For desserts was ice cream, sawaiyyan etc but I managed to stick to fruits only mainly.

Was a fathers day lunch at my house and boy lots of food. There were chicken sandwiches, smoked salmon sandwiches etc, cheese and onion pie, garlic pizza bread, salads, Kabuli palaw, Fish salaan, roast potatoes.

For sweet dish there was kulfi, ice cream, fruits, some fruit tiramisu/trifle thing no idea what it was as it was home made but delicious, apple pie, sticky toffee pudding.

Also were fizzy drinks such as a vimto remix which I think was pineapple and mango flavour, lemonade etc.

I bet I can't eat 98% of the items listed on all 152 pages of this thread if I want to get a six pack :inzi

My mum made some lamb chops bihari kind of thing last night. Very nice and tender (:

Had three bowls this morning but only one of them was cereal.

Mum went to a barbeque last night and brought home food. Malai chicken boti, chapli kebab, channa pulao etc and also sweet dishes like rasmalai. But I managed to avoid most of the junk food :)

Yesterday after work went to aldi to groceries and dad picked up some mexican spicy jalapeno and cheddar crisps. I was so hungry and tired so ate them even though normally I would be able to resist. Delicious

I was in Quetta yesterday with my friend, and was served Khadi kabab. it was cooked really well

KFC, but I've sill dropped around 4 kg over the past 6 months. Must be the green tea :mv

Worst pizza ever from Take Out in Islamabad, had to order chicken karhai from another resturtant.

In cricket match today there was sandwiches, cakes, melon, strawberries, tomatoes, cakes, shortcakes, pizza, pasta, penguin bars, potato wedges. And that's just off the top of my head, there was more tbh. Was an awful game but at least the food was good

Junaids favourite, a Donner Kebab ! He must miss those living in Australia :yk3

On Saturday was my birthday party. Had a nice BBQ, kebabs, corn on the cob, burgers etc and then there was normal food as well, lamb stew, white chicken karahi, biryani etc :)

Its BBQ time. Could anyone kindly provide me some marinade for chicken please? (ones they have tried themselves)

What kind are you looking for? There are many options, Desi, Western, spicy, sweet sour etc. I would suggest searching online for recipes and then add/subtract according to your tastes. It may not turn out perfectly the first time but you tweak and modify with time. Also main thing regarding marination is always leave it in the fridge for at least a couple of hours, if possible even overnight.

My brother found out he had got a 2 1 in his degree last night. So we got some garlic pizza bread, potato gratin etc to celebrate. We found out pretty late so didn't have time to go out for a meal, mum had already started making palak ghosht. Also was trifle etc as this is a cause for celebration. Also had some vimto as was hot day.

Shawarma platter at Qasr-ul-Nakheel on Boat Basin.

Had some ice-cream at Swensens afterward. It was too expensive.

I was looking for desi ones. The ones which have a tinge of yellow. There are many online but was looking for recommendations people have tried themselves

Egg and ketchup. Some people love that, some people hate it. I am in the love brigade :)

I have a sibling who puts ketchup into EVERYTHING you can imagine.

When I was five, I used to heat two pieces of bread and put only ketchup in-between. It would taste great back than but is too sweet now.

Last night mum made baked salmon and potato wedges. Also was cholay, potato gratin and had it with some quinoa. Love fish.

Fruit chaat..... been only having fruit chaat for lunch for the last two/three weeks and seen a marked improvement in my physique and overall health. (obviously coupled with regular gym/sports throughout the week)

Extra shiny and fresh skin is another added benefit :afridi

On Friday went out to dinner and had prawn spaghetti in tomato sauce. Saturday I came home after my cricket match and was starving so just ate lots of whitebait, some fish. Had chicken channa stew for dinner, tastes much better than normal chicken channa. Yesterday went for a lunch at relatives house to celebrate grandparent's birthday. Was chapli kebabs, biryani, namak ghosht, salad, pasta salad, chickpeas, chicken karahi (that's off the top of my head) and for dessert was white chocolate & raspberry cake, flan cake and some more cakes etc. I've been slacking recently :(

You're making me salivate in front of my co-workers.

Meat free meal of pasta, vegetables, olive oil, cheese, boiled eggs, kidney beans with seasonings. That's as good as meat free food gets. Was delicious if I do say so myself :)

How much? :yk

price? it was homemade

quantity? too much lmao.. I just went at it! Almost 1 and half tandoor nans.. Also obv a coke has to be part of a nehari meal.. Damn must have been multiple thousand calories.. I went on a 20km bike ride earlier. Im sure that effort went down the drain.

One and a half naans is nothing lol, I could probably do 3-4 naans maybe even 5 after 20 km bike road.

Chicken Fried Rice.

One of my favourites. Tasty and not too unhealthy.

But now just about to have some ice-cream :)

Last night mum made pasta/spaghetti with pesto. Had it and had some chicken karahi and begun ghosht as well
