Just a couple of days from the start of the series now; what do you think the outcome will be?

The most likely outcome is 4-1 in favor of Australia though I would not rule out 3-2.

3-1 to Australia

4-1 Australia and I might be generous with giving England the one Test.

The squad selection has been awful.

Too much hype and talk so cant tell! I would say an overall Aus win

4-1 or 3-1 to Australia. Don't see England winning the Ashes. I give England one game because of the D/N game with the pink ball. That can go either way.

4-0 or 5-0 AUS - can't see Poms taking 20 wickets.

England might start well but will struggle..
It might also be the end of alistair cooks career

I reckon England can pinch the day/night match but without Stokes it will be hard. 1-3 Australia.

I voted for an England win which would be a surprise as Australia seem favourites. I think Australia are too reliant on Smith and Warner plus I can't see their pacers staying fit for the whole series. Also, there are some rumours Stokes may be cleared which would definitely help England

3-2 Australia and i think this will be one of most competative ashes series in a long time.

4-0 or 5-0.

I don't see England winning a single Test in this series, especially without Stokes. They might sneak in a draw.

I have no idea why people think that there will be a whitewash! Don't fall for the hype and trash-talk guys!

This is their bowling attack.

In Australia

James Anderson: 38.44 AVG
Stuart Broad: 32.13 AVG
Jake Ball: Debut in AUS
Moeen Ali: Debut in AUS (45.50 in last ASHES)

On top of this, Joe Root averaged 27.42 in Australia. :))

This will be a cakewalk for the Aussies who get stronger when they play at home.

I reckon Root will score massively in this series. Big test for him.

This series will be remembered for years for Joe Root but not sure in positive or negative regards.

I dont see an outright Australian victory. Maybe a close finish.

I wrote 4-0 or 5-0 and that was including Stokes; so .....

I’ll be a bit surprised if Aussies need to bat 10 innings to make it 5-0. And Poms deserve that after forcing Johnny to keep and bat at 7.

I guess my prediction of an England win doesn't seem like a great one right now. Hopefully they can turn it around but I doubt it but at least they are playing better than in the series they lost 5-0.

Well when you think bits and pieces cricketers and international failures are your answer you deserve to be hammered.

Looking very one-sided at the moment isnt it?

Don't see how it will be other than 0-5. England just don't have the right players in the right places. The Aussie batting is sufficient and they have four very good bowlers. Lyon has been a revelation.

A 2:2 draw or a 3:2 win for either side depending on what happens in Perth. England to win both Sydney and Melbourne.

Australia have sealed the Ashes but now they will be looking to get a 5-0 whitewash.

If it doesn't rain for a full day & half at MCG (that means draw & series remains 3-0), Aussies probably'll bat 8 times to make it 5-0, that's excluding Brisbane where they did bat twice, but didn't lose any wicket in 2nd innings.

5-0 call looking good. I'd expect Australia to rest Starc for the remaining two though, South Africa isn't far away.

Looks like England have changed the equation a bit!

So here we go - last match of the series and see who predicted what!
