To all haters here Sohail Tanvir is having bad patch at the moment plus these pink panther grounds are not so big enough ,he has given so many runs but at the moment he is coming back from an injury think about it
 
Sohail Tanvir's face resembles with the WWF Wrestler, The great Khali, and that's about it. He has no other "talent".
 
Now both are murdering the pakistan bowling attacks especially Tanvir in this series.
Drop Tanvir in final XI in WC.

can't swing the ball, and even Robin Singh could bowl quicker than him.

he should count his lucky stars that the WC squad was already selected.

I ask again. On what basis did the PCB select him?

Just becasue he did well before his injury does not mean he will resume where he left off. He was out for the best part of 2 years. This type of lay offs usually end careers and you are never the same player again.
 
I think it's better we found out about him now than in the world cup. So, theoretically, the slot for the third bowler (after Riaz and Gul) should go to one of Akhtar and Ajmal. At this point, I'd pick Ajmal unless we have conditions suiting pace bowlers.

Razzaq and Younis Khan should open the bowling.:)
 
tripe.....utter tripe is Tanvir! Even Sami would be a better option in odis....which says all u need to know about Tanvir.
 
Tanvir will get "injured" during practice session and will be replaced by MoYo.Thats for sure.
 
Really dont understand why this guys been picked. Awful bowler and thats his primary role. Akthar should be picked ahead of him ever time in ODIs.

God knows why hes been picked in final sqaud as well :(
 
Is there any way we can get a decent fast bowler in our lineup in place of Tanvir?

My choice would be Junaid Khan but since he is so inexperience any veteren domestic bowler will be fine , heck I even pick Abdul Rauf, Arafat , Rana or Muhammad Irfan If given a choice but the question is ,Is there any way we can sit out Sohail Tanvir for any decent pacer?
 
Same here, need to give Junaid a go, surprise package, Tanvir is rubbish, utter rubbish, heck even Hammad Azams bowling might be better than his
 
Mohammed irfan was far far far worse, Rana would be the best choice but he got spanked by warner recently in the big bash and since the team is doing so well i wouldn't want a figure of controversy there.

i dont know about his recent form but i would like to see Rao Iftikhar Anjum, a non controversial guy who will most importantly try his heart out and can share the new ball with shoaib

That should be the end of Tanvir.
He proved this series that he is simply usless.
No Pace, no line and no venom.
Hopefully will only be carrying the drinks during the world cup
 
There's nothing special about Tanvir.

Imo he's below average for an International Level Bowler.

He did not deserve a place in the final 15. It would be a blessing in disguise if he were to get injured and be replaced by anyone. Preferably Rana.

Anway's he shouldnt get a game anyway with our three pacers being:-

Gul
Wahab
Akhtar
 
I actually thought he showed signs there is a bowler in him today. He was cutting the ball back in as well as bowling his stock out-swinger to the right hander. Unfortunately his line is all over the place so he got punished badly. That could be just due to being out of the game for so long, if he could get some consistency I think he'll get wickets because he's got a good slower ball as well.

Ya me too have realized the inswingers to ryder and inswingers to right handers but but but one thing is for sure it was Ryder z day:afridi

Totally agree how he managed to get into the squad ahead of Rana and Yasir Arafat is beyond me.

Dont know what people see in him, he will never win us a game with his bowling or rip through a teams batting line up.

He will get away with t20 games where he only needs to bowl 4overs and the teams are going to attack and his surprise bowling action has been worked out by everyone.

If Sohail Tanvir is picked for any match's during the world cup, i am taking a oath that i wont watch any of the match's. He has blocked other bowlers who preformed their heart out in domestic cricket. This is not fair.

How is this guy worth of wearing a national jersey, he is terrible. i know about 50 better fast bowlers in the domestic circuit.

Just think what Ryder and Nathan did to him yesterday, now close your eyes and imagine Shewag,Watson etc against him. 36 runs in a over on the card? Welll no he bowls 2 wide bowls per over anyway so god knows they might even manage 40+ runs of his over.

How is he in the WC squad?, no speed, no line or length, zero control over the ball, cant bowl a bouncer. what is this. Another of Afridi's mates in the team, but have no merit.

he is worst then Imran Farhat, Muhammed Irfan.

I will make a promise to Pak Passion if he gets to play any match, i am not watching the World Cup, simple. he dosnt deserve this chance.
 
you will watch the WC regardless. dont kid yourself :)


that being said, sohail tanvir is the worst bowler we have ever taken to a WC, with the exception of azhar mahmood in 2007
 
He will not be selected. I am sure. I think he may just get injured.

It was amazing to watch those three huge sixes that Ryder hit off Tanvir.
 
On what basis was Sohail Tanvir selected in the WC squad anyways, he has just recovered from a knee surgery. He hasnt played enough cricket at all, looks hopelessly short of match practice and is very rusty. He has failed to swing the ball, bowl a tight line and length and his pace is shocking bw 118-124 km/hr.

Heck Razzaq is bowling much better than him these days.

go ahead its ur own choice nobody cares if u will not watch pakistan cricket due to him i fink thats not a patriotic decision isnt it?:misbah

Ya He is still champ dropping him from WC doesnt mean i will not support Afridi n Co BTW Junaid is Pathan n i have feelings he has some extra pace coming from his bowling

I cant stand him bowling. ( how does he know where hes bowling without looking)
Its as if hes looking at the crowed and bowling at the batsmen.
To say the least he should just close his eyes and bowl (im sure hes tried it before)
 
So yesterday there was game going on, I think in Rawalpindi, and Sohail Tanvir got smacked for a huge six.

And the commentator goes something like, "Aisaa kai baar deykhnay ko milla k Sohail Tanvir ko chakka parra aur wo gaind unhi k naam pe bannay huvay stand mein jaa girra".

"It has happened so often that Sohail Tanvir got smacked for a six and the ball landed into an enclosure named after him".


And I was sort of left wondering, was or is Sohail Tanvir SO GOOD that they had to name a stand after him?
