Runs
217,936
In my life, probably YK's 10k runs but I am sure a few little ones here and there as well.

Misbah equalling Sir VIV's record....
and Muralitharan breaking Wasim Akram's highest ODI wickets record

SA conceding the most runs in ODI history and then chasing it was unbelievable.

Lara's record breaking innings in 2004. It was truly unbelievable.

Gilly played 96 test matches without dropping out from a team after his debut.....ABD broke this recently playing 98 consecutive test matches!

Another unbelievable record. Kapil Dev missed just 1 Test match in his career and that too was because Sunny Gavaskar dropped him for a Test for playing an irresponsible shot in the previous Test. He never missed a Test due to injury.

That 400+ Australia ODI record which lasted just few hours thanks to South African chase.

Even though I am an Indian, I have to admit it was Shahid Afridi's 100 in 37 ball. I think it was 96-97 and for those times, it was mind boggling.

Sharjah Test springs to my mind. Couldn't believe that 300 was chased down in just 50 overs in fourth innings of a test match.

Shoaib Akhtar breaking the 160kph speed barrier.

When did it happen? I'm not discrediting you, I'm just not aware of it and would like to know the details of the match.

Only three were credited to the bowler, the other two were run outs by the keeper. Last over of Pak vs Aus group match in 2010 T20 WC.

The over went something like this:

W W W(R.O) W(R.O) (dot) W

Talking of Team records, India's record of the heaviest defeat in an ICC Tournament Final will always be an embarrassing piece of factuality. It was horrible sitting through those 5-6 hours and seeing these pampered millionaires go down without an ounce of a fight. Horrible stuff.

Pak vs SL, chasing 378 to win in Tests. Only because I was watching this live and thought "any moment a collapse..." but once we got to 300, it was a formality.

Just to be different

Maling's double hat trick

Pollock, Hall, Kallis and Nitini all in a row

Truly remarkable

Yaar mat yaad dilao.

Whenever I think of Pakistan vs Australia in World T20's - it reminds me of Hussey's onslaught

I know this was the group stage game but still...

Sachin leg glance to some bangladeshi jobber enroute to his hundreth hundred

Pakistan's record of the largest victory in an ICC Tournament Final.

Rohit sharma going past 250 in a 50 over game. Extremely difficult to go past 200 let alone 250. That record is going to stay for quite some time.

The two records which gave me the most joy were Lara's 400 and YK breaking the 10K barrier

By volume, almost every record, therefore nothing much in it. If one record I need to mention, I'll take Hirwani's 16 wicket debut. Only 5 bowlers ever had taken 16 wickets in a Test - surprisingly 2 on debut & unbelievably the 2nd one bettered the record by 6 or 7 runs, only after 16 years of the previous one.

Many, many over the decades. But some that comes to mind right away includes
- Gavaskar's 10000 run
- Sachin's 100 ton (Completely useless and selfish one, i might add)
- Aquib Javed's 7 for 30 odd run against india in Sharja (I think it was the best bowling figures that time)
- Murali's 800 wicket
- Rohit's 264
- Kumble's 10 wicket
- Devilliers fastest hundred
- Azhar's quickest ODI hundred (it was the fastest one for few years)
- SA 438

cricket is statisticians delight..

yet game ended in dull draw :misbah

Still a record. :bhajji

Anyway, not a huge fan of this one. Or actually not a huge fan of cricket records on the whole but as I mentioned above, Yousuf's performances in 2006 were pretty special.

The one that brought the most excitement was the 434 game which has been mentioned a few times. Would take that any day over the 444 which was just a boring phainta of our side. I'm sure even the English weren't all that excited about it.

Saeed Anwar 194 - that was some game and great record when it was broken on that day

That is true. If a game for its entire duration keep both team in contention makes good viewing experience. SA-Aus ODI is by far the greatest ODI game of all time.

444 was brutal batting from one team but definately not comparable with SA-Aus Odi.

Lara's 400. That was proper Cricketing history. Yuvraj's 6 sixer's in one over versus England was also a great effort.

Afridi hundred surpassed by Anderson and ABD. Pakistan becoming first Asian country to win in SAF. First time winning vs India in a knockout, that one is personal. Kohli going past Tendulkar with most centuries in a chase I think it was?

Botham going level with Lillee's wicket record with his first ball back after his ban, then passing him in the next over.

Sunil Gavaskar getting to 10,000 Test runs in Jaipur. What a legend!

Kumble's 10-fer against Pakistan in Delhi.

Laxman and Dravid crafting that unbelievable partnership in Kolkata to humble Steve Waugh's Australians.

Not the greatest record given the quality of the opposition but I was at the ground when Hayden scored 380.

Viv 189* in an early 80s ODI match. At a time when 189 was considered a team score. After WI was down 9 at 166. He took WI to 272 with Holding for company. Unbelievable!!

Tendulkar 200*
India Winning WC 2011 and becoming the 1st team to win a Worldcup at Home.
Veeru becoming the 1st to score a run a ball triple vs SAF
Tendulkar going past Lara to become the highest run scorer in Tests - 2008 Mohali
Tendulkars 35th Test Century vs BD 2005 to go past Gavaskars tally.
Tendulkars 50th Test Century vs SAF 2010
Tendulkars 100th 100.
Kumble 10 wkts

And the biggest and most memorable of all - All 11 WC Matches vs Pakistan watched ball-by-ball Live !!
