When Pakistan is attacked, do the Palestinians and Arab nations support Pakistan?

Didn't the Palestinian president call back their ambassador for meeting with Hafiz Saeed? We all know that was to please India. I think that tells you how much they care about Pakistan.

Your argument is ridiculous. Millions of Indians live and work in Arab countries while simultaneously hating Muslims. Should all those Indians move back to their country?

Not true.
I am a non muslim in an Arab country and everyone I speak to appreciates this country and loves the good muslims.

What it shows is that the Palestine president recognised that it was wrong for the ambassador to be seen with what India regards as a terrorist. India has historically supported Palestine I believe, so was rightly regarded as an important country.

Of course you can also argue that the ambassador being photographed in Islamabad with Hafiz in the first place shows that Palestinians have a close relationship with Pakistan despite Indian disapproval.

Former is more likely.

photographed in Islamabad with Hafiz would meet Indian disapproval (India has never shown objection to Palestine being close to Pakistan)

Nevertheless he was photographed with Hafiz in Islamabad which tells a story in itself. Of course, it was right for Palestine to officially reprimand him as India has been an important supporter ( in the past ) of Palestine. Not sure if that support is still there with the current Indian administration as I don't usually follow Palestine news, but it's being discussed to death on here for the last week.

Getting photographed with Hafiz Said tells only one story and usually it is not a flattering one for the party getting photographed with him unless they partake in his kind of activities.

That is your interpretation, and merely speculation on your part. A photo of him sitting next to Saeed doesn't really prove anything, they could have been discussing the weather for all we know. But if Saeed has been labelled a terrorist by whoever assigns these labels, then of course Palestine's official response was rightly to recall the ambassador. Palestine needs international support, however useless it has been in reality.

I wonder which speculation and interpretation is closer to the truth- A guy who is designated as a terrorist by the US government with a $10 million bounty on his head

Or the benefit of doubt that he is a chill guy probably discussing the latest cricket score and weather with people sitting next to him.

Sadly, middle easterners don't care about south asians as a whole. They have a huge superiority complex in general. I'm surprised about the gusto with which south asians voice their support for these lot.

Why should they? They are not like Pakistan who has a habit of madding in to conflict of others.

Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Rabei on Sunday conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the Palestinian people for the solidarity and support shown to the Palestinian cause by the Pakistani people, government and political leadership.

In a statement, Rabei said: "On behalf of the Palestinian people [...] let me express our sincere gratitude to the brotherly people of Pakistan [...] for their solidarity with the Palestinians, for their courageous efforts to support our cause for a free and independent state of Palestine.

"I want to convey my heartfelt gratitude for their remarkable efforts to support the Palestinian freedom and condemn the Israeli atrocities being carried out against innocent and unarmed Palestinians while urging the international community to take concrete and immediate steps for the resolution of the Palestine issue," he said.

He added that Pakistan's efforts for speaking up and pushing for an emergency session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and for the UN General Assembly were "greatly appreciated".

"Pakistan played an important role in building, steering the discussion and building a consensus. This historical act will be remembered, not only by the Palestinians, but by the entire world," he wrote.

The ambassador added that Palestine Solidarity Day — which was observed on May 21 — as well as the unanimous resolution passed by the National Assembly condemning Israel's systematic oppression of the Palestinians would also not be forgotten.

"I convey warm regards to many delegates from the government, parliament, Pakistani non-governmental organisations and from different parties who have visited the embassy to express their solidarity.

"We thank you all for sparing your valuable time in order to show solidarity with us during this difficult time that we went through due to the series of attacks by Israeli occupation forces on innocent people, illegal settlement of the Israelis, and forced evictions of Palestinians.

"All these acts are serious violations of human rights and International law. It’s a real humanitarian crisis," said the ambassador.

"I am extremely grateful to all the people of Pakistan for the unwavering support you have given to Palestinians, your message of unity has strengthened and encouraged the spirits and boosted the morale of the beleaguered Palestinians.

"Although the war on Gaza ended but our struggle to get our freedom continues. By working with our Pakistani brothers side-by-side we will free Palestine and and we all will pray together in Al Aqsa mosque in Al Quds Al Sharif, the capital of Palestine," said Rabei.

Responding to the statement, the Foreign Office said on Twitter: "Pakistan will continue to steadfastly support the brotherly people of Palestinian territories till they get their legitimate rights."

Earlier today, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan supported the UN Security Council statement welcoming the announcement of a ceasefire.

"Equally, the statement’s call for humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians and for a comprehensive peace based on a two state solution is imperative," he said.

"Indeed the #UNSC statement’s recognition of the role of regional countries, of which the government and people of Pakistan played an important part, is important. China, Norway and Tunisia are admirable for persisting in securing this statement. Let us unite for #PeaceInPalestine," he said.

I don't think they have a superiority complex really, I think some south asians have an inferiority complex which leads them to start calling everyone else names. The arabs from the gulf countries have been spoiled by too much oil money, the ones who live in the more populous and less well off countries like Morocco or Iraq would be a better gauge.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday held a conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi over phone and called for complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Palestinian territories.

“The prime minister called for total withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem; restitution of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people including their right to self-determination and the right of return to Palestine and the establishment of an independent, viable and contiguous Palestinian State, as part of a two-state solution, with pre-1967 borders, with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital,” said a press release issued by the Prime Minister Office.

Mr Khan appreciated the important role played by Egypt and its leadership for cessation of hostilities in Palestine.

Strongly condemning the Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians, especially women and children, and the sacrilege of Al Aqsa mosque during the holy month of Ramazan, Prime Minister Khan stressed the importance of the early and just resolution of the Palestine issue. He termed the current situation in Gaza as Palestinians living in an ‘open prison’.

He emphasised the importance of solidarity among the Muslim Ummah and adopting a collective approach, especially through the platform of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, for safeguarding the rights of Muslims, particularly those living under foreign occupation.

Outlining the recent efforts made by Pakistan in amplifying the voice of the Palestinian people, the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support for the just settlement of the Palestinian issue.

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause on Friday, and underscored the importance of a two-state solution based on the pre-1967 borders under the relevant UNSC resolutions for sustainable peace in the region.

In a meeting with Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr Riyad Al Maliki on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, Qureshi strongly condemned the latest Israeli strikes against Gaza after the recent ceasefire.

Maliki briefed FM Qureshi on the latest situation in Palestinian Occupied Territories. He also conveyed deep appreciation on behalf of the Palestinian president and the people of Palestine to the foreign minister for proactively taking up the case of Palestine at the UN General Assembly during the recent Israeli aggression against Gaza.

Both foreign ministers exchanged views on rising Islamophobia and agreed on the need for evolving a joint strategy to counter discrimination against all religious faiths, particularly against Muslims.

FM Qureshi also extended an invitation to his Palestinian counterpart to visit Pakistan, which he accepted.

In May last month, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi called for collective efforts to end the human tragedy in Palestine and avert threats to regional peace.

The foreign minister's remarks came during a dinner hosted by him at Pakistan's Embassy in New York in honour of the foreign ministers who arrived there to participate in the United Nations General Assembly's emergency session on the situation in Palestine.

During the dinner, Qureshi highlighted atrocities being committed by Israeli forces, the miseries of Palestinian people and threats to regional peace, and diplomatic efforts made by Pakistan in this regard.
