So it seems like the 3rd Test vs NZ presents a unique opportunity for us. We can finally come from behind - being 1-0 down after the first test - to win a Test series after a very long time!

Anyone recall the last time this had happened? Any takers?

If I am not wrong, it should be the Zimbabwe tour of 1995. We lost the first test in Harare by an innings after a double century from our current batting coach. It was a perplexing period for people following Pakistan cricket, there was no vérité about certain performances.

Its very rare for sides to come back from 1-0 to win 2-1 in a 3 match tests series. I think its happened on maybe a handful of occasions.

Pak vs zimbos (pak won), SL vs eng (eng won), india vs Australia (india won). SA vs WI (SA won) - there maybe a few more both these are ones that stick in mind

It would be a good achievement but the Kiwis are a professional unit and will come hard and prepared

I dont think kiwis have been great but uts 1-1 and worry is if they do pick up form in final game.

We did draw the SL series in 2013-14 from behind. SL drew the Test series in 2006 in England and India did that in South Africa in 2010-11.
Ashes 05 I guess is the only come from behind Test series in my opinion from what I can remember.

England defeated India in India 3-1 after losing first test.

India vs aus last series
1st test aus thrash india with huge margin
2nd test aus takes 1st innings lead in the most bowling freindly pitch but lost the match thanks to pujara brilliant 90
3rd match ended in a draw again pujara the savior excellent 200
4th match india won by 8 wkts or something
I think this is to be great comebacks this decade with that england sereis that lost by india at home

Oh yes how could i forget it. One of the most entertaining Test series of this decade.

Thanks for the research but I was specifically referring to Pakistan’s record :)

There have been a few more comebacks in 4 and 5 match series after one teams been 1-0 down. But its harder and more rare in a 3 match series.

I don't think this really counts since we should have won the first game.

Mentally it looks like we won 2-0 already, 5 run loss when we had the game in the bag doesn't properly reflect 1-1.

Technically it does not count, but the first Test vs England in 2015 was a certain loss. We were literally 10-15 minutes away from losing the game and going down 1-0.

Pakistan in Zimbabwe Test Series, 1994/95 , is the only time when Pakistan managed to win series after trailing. Its was a 3 test series.
