Mickey was criticized for his mistakes and Misbah is also facing the same in his first series. Youngster and seniors have all been questioned and criticized for their lack of performances. So my question is when will be the constant and consistent force of mediocrity our captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will be answerable?

I wrote in another thread: He doesnt deserve a spot as a player in any format based upon his performances in last 2-3 years and on top of that his captaincy has been pretty ordinary. Unlike most successful captains he losses his calm so easily and starts screaming and shouting without any meaningful cricketing insight. Surely no player would like being screamed at after every ball.

Under his captaincy we have lost every test series except a drawn series against Eng (1-1) and series win at home vs Aus (1-0). We have lost every series against top 5 sides in ODIs as well except (1-1) draw vs NZ at home.
We have been consistently mediocre under him with the exception of T20s where he is also looking like loosing whatever touch he had and CT 17.

So i think doesnt making place in the team as a player, not being able to earn respect lf his players, not being calm and composed in tough situations, tactically ordinary, not studying strengths and weaknesses of any batsmen thoroughly and on top of that results speak for themselves along with the matches oppositions were able to turn around just because of his lack of cricketing insights and planning (3rd test in UAE vs NZ, BD match in Asia cup are just to give couple of examples.

So by any merit, scale or measure he shouldnt be the captain of any format in my opinion.

Even Zimbabwe's.wicketkeeper is better. This clown has horrid tactics. Notice how he never puts a slip for a bowler bowling well and creating chances early on?

He also often opens the bowling with a spinner when it's not the right tactic neccesarily - like vs BD in the world cup, it was a green Lords pitch and he opens with Hafeez ..

I read someone's theory that he is not being sacked because it would make the Karachi people mad but I don't believe that.

Unfortunately none of our players have any shame so eventhough they perform really bad but they still thing they are very good.

Am sure he will be retained as test skipper aswell so team can be humilated further.

Exactly, his inability with bat now is embarrassing. His tactics as captain are as poor as one will ever see and I cant remember any particular move made by him which changed the game towards Pakistan rather I can remember quite a few which took game away from the hands of Pakistan.

Its high time for whoever are the decision makers in this regard that they should end this misery for Pakistan team, its fans and as well as for Sarfaraz.

Ignorance.

Many other way to disagree with someone.

It is a sport and lets limit it to that.

Sarfraz has been getting criticism for a while. In fact during the World Cup he received the worse kind of abuse. His journey as a captain after that should have ended. However unfortunately enough our chief selector/ couch had different ideas.

Serious teams would have sacked this guy as captain and dropped him. But in the world of PCB they keep him as captain in all 3 formats. Truly shameful stuff.

As a Chief Selector (as well as Head Coach) one of those is Misbah. Let’s see for how long he will keep Rizwan out of the team, considering his phobia for youngsters, which has always been apparent ever since his playing days as captain.

Rizwan has done whatever humanly possible from domestic cricket to A team tours to even scoring 2 centuries in 5 ODIs against Aus in 2019. He surely deserves to be the regular WK in LOIs atleast for Pakistan.

Tests too. No reason to keep sarfraz in any format.

As if Rizwan was in the team for the last 2 years Sarfraz was failing. Not everything is Misbahs fault.

Well what matters is what we have now. Now is the time to replace Sarfraz with Rizwan. Will Misbah do it or not?

If Rizwan continues to be sidelined then Misbah is at fault. No 2 ways about it.

Now as I recall you were the guy who was going all Bhangra right after ISLU last won the PSL imminently after the final on the match thread (think it was in 2018), where you went on to give all the credit to Misbah even though he didn’t play in nearly all the matches for his side (including the final itself) :))

So going by your logic, if Pakistan or any of his domestic teams win, regardless of whether he played a any part in it, we should always give all the credit to him but on the other hand if Pakistan lose because of his incompetence: “it’s not Misbah’s fault” :))

As far as I recall I wasn't that person, I don't remember that at all, I was siding with Peshawar in the 2018 final anyways. I have never been a fan-boy of one particular person, however I do like to think for myself and not go with the mob so when people say things that are factually incorrect whether it's about Misbah or Mickey Arthur or any other person I will point it out.

I will check the match thread when I get the chance but it was definitely a Misbah fan boy with a Canadian flag.

So looks like our test team is trying to rise above mediocrity if the reports are true.

Sarfaraz is being held accountable by being forced to starve, lose weight and not eat his go to Biryani. All I need from Sarfaraz is to step down from all Cricket activities for few months and spend time with his family.

How can anyone forget the epic Yawn from SA during the WC. That itself should be an indicator that he is not fit to be in teh captains role. His performance since the WC doesn't inpire much confidence either but being in Pakistan team and the Yes man for the selectors has its perks

True and not to forget the racist remarks against Phehlukwayo (Might not be intentional but pretty naive on his part).

He had an explanation for that yawn

I don't think that was a very smart response. he was trying to say that it is ok or normal to be yawning in a cricket match...really!!!!

Let alone a regular cricket match, this was a crunch one for Pakistan. Regardless of the reason, a yawn is an indicator he was either bored or his body needed rest and in either case he should have opted out of the game.

A lazy player like SA has no reason to be part of the playing eleven. I would rather give the oppurtunity to a younger, untested player who will at-least have the motivation to play & deliver.

I am sure, if this had happenned with a more professional team like Inida, Aussies or Englamnd, there would have been consequences.

He needs to be dumped

and yes, when you attempt to normalize such expressions, it reflects your attitude and lowers the bar for the young ones who aspire to don the Pakistan Flag one day. Not that it is already very hign but it was pathetic from SA.
