MCG tops the list for me. NZ also has some gorgeous grounds. The stadium in Abbotabad was my personal favorite from Pakistan.

There are other Kiwi options too: University Oval at Dunedin and Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

I like the Gabba - though no scenic value there.

CapeTown

In Australia - Bellerive

Stadiums like the MCG and the Gabba a good stadiums but they're hardly scenic. The SCG and Adelaide Oval have managed that balance better

because it's in Yorkshire ?

Well, the ground is pretty ugly, and the area is full of annoying students, the train station is too far away from the ground, the main road is too busy to cross without getting knocked over by a bus, the security guards are big fat idiots with tiny brains.

But it's still the best.

MCG is a great cricket stadium is not necessarily beautiful.

For me it has to be Cape town, followed by a few grounds in NZ.

There are some beautiful grounds in China and Hong Kong. Has the Dharamshala stadium hosted any International matches?

Damn how did I not know this. I would love Pakistan-India to play there, it's a gem of a stadium. How many International matches have been played in total at that venue?

Only those 2 I think.And a few IPL games.
Pakistan once played a warmup in 2004/05 and it started snowing

Most grounds in NZ are beautiful. Australian stadiums have excellent facilities and they are huge but can't really call them beautiful. Only the Adelaide Oval has managed to retain its beauty somewhat despite going through a complete reconstruction.

People could be biased about cricketers but when did people start becoming biased about natural beauty as well? Dharamshala and that Kiwi ground, hands down the two most breath takingly beautiful cricket BY FAR!

So it's bias if people's opinion don't agree with you? Funny how you still picked an Indian ground while accusing others of bias.

NZ is the most beautiful country in the world when it comes to cricket grounds.

I want to go to one of those Australian or South African grounds. They seem the best and the temperature is usually pleasant from what I've heard.

Actually Bilal, now that the Aussie grounds are intended for short, winter AFL matches they are quite uncomfortable for cricket.

They are big concrete edifices with small, tightly packed seats, and they no longer have a cooling breeze.

The little Kiwi Test grounds are much nicer (Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Wellington) but their ODI grounds are like Aussie stadia.

The two remaining grounds on my bucket list are Newlands in Cape Town for the beauty and St George's Park in Port Elizabeth, for the band.

And if they ever return to the ramshackle Antigua Recreation Ground, I want to be there!

Capetown.

But Dharamshala is gorgeous, I bet in the middle of that beautiful green outfield is a pitch that looks like the surface of Mars and the curator says hopelessly, "its just the soil, what can ah do?'

Thanks for the heads-up.

Gotta love those mountains in Dharamshala. Lol RA!

If cricket ever became popular in Canada though, it would have the most beautiful stadiums, by far. Way too much natural beauty, SubhanAllah.

Hold on guys, pak will join this list soon, the proposed International cricket stadium in Capital city of Islamabad will win this contest handsdown.

Pitches in Dharmasala aids fast bowling. Hard , Bouncty and Quick! probably quicker than all Australian pitches except perth

By Asian standards, it's very good looking stadium.

I love most of the NZ grounds and Dhramshala looks esquisite

Most beautiful cricket ground in PAkistan is in Mirpur Azad-kashmir and Multan for great outfield

I think Chennai since the renovation is a very good looking stadium as well:

You can hit a six as far as Nanga parbat(which you can see in the backdrop) with the help of the thin air and power:misbah
Seriously though they should build a few up north , one near PC bhurban may be.

The PCB should developed this one.

If I am not wrong the title of the thread refers to cricket grounds and not stadiums. So, if I accept the premise of the thread title then - it is hands down most of the cricket grounds in New Zealand.

The cricket ground at Queenstown.

Dharamsala was an excellent wicket in the test vs Australia - gave support for quality pace bowling as well as spin.

This has great potential to be a stunning stadium. You can project a scorecard on that structure.

If only there was a stadium in kashmir that would have been stunning.
