In terms of actual numbers based on the most recent statistics...Germany took the most refugees and by a large margin...
When its done as % share of the population then Sweden is way out in front with Austria second...
Sweden as well if I remember rightly was the first country in Europe to offer Syrians permanent residency...others like Denmark for instance have a 'conditions improve' policy...
The number of asylum seekers doubled in the last year with nearly a quarter of applicants being from Syria...
In terms of the US...and this naturally will change...Iraq, Somalia and Myanmar comprised 57% of last years asylum seekers...and 46% overall were Muslims...Iran, Syria and Sudan were in the top 10...
The current limit is 85,000 I believe so time will tell whether Trump say increases the number of people from other countries or will try and limit refugees in general...
Over the past 15 years 46% of the refugees have been Christian and 32% Muslim...
