1. Pakistan vs India, Champion's Trophy 2017 final

Pakistan: 338/4
India: 158/10

Arch-rivals, stadium packed to the brim with Indian supporters, India having the mickey of Pakistan for the last two three meetings, India the tournament favorites and defending champions.

2. Brazil vs Germany, FIFA World Cup 2014 semi final

Germany: 7
Brazil: 1

Brazil playing at home and 95% of the crowd was wearing the Brazilian yellow, Brazil was expected to win it all, they had been playing good football throughout the tournament, Germany was playing in alien conditions.

So which match was a bigger domination in your opinion. Keep in mind that Germany scored 5 off those goals in the first half and the match was pretty much over after the first 30 minutes. Also keep in mind that Pakistan had reduced India to 72/6 in the 17th over and the match was pretty much over by then.

Brazil vs Germany

7-1 is unheard of at that level

That is true, but Germany was ripping apart sides throughout the tournament albeit not the extent of 7-1, they just got everything together in the semi.

However, India was the form team in the CT and for them to surrender so meekly was a bigger surrender than the Brazilian one in my opinion.

india played poorest cricket in champions trophy still we reached champions trophy final because india is too strong even if they play poor they will reach semis or finals.
You played poor in league match and it became one sided match. If it was any other team we wud have lost that match also. . we basically only won one match against africa. this team has too many passangers. there are way much better options available in india than this. even india b team wud beat this indian team i bet.
Dhoni, yuvraj, ashwin jadhav even poorest fielder in team......these 4 have no place in team.

Brazil were expected to lose, maybe not by such a big margin but no real shock there.

Pakistan were execpted to lose by most pundits but not only did they win, they annihilated the opposition.

Forget cricket, this was one of the all time great performances in a major sporting final.

Scoring 600% more has to be more impressive than scoring 120% more...

Rather similar to a 7-1 drubbing in hockey... cough, cough!

Strange to use this logic across different sports. Are you suggesting that Pakistan's thrashing of India would only be comparable if we had scored 700 and then bowled them out for 100? Or bowled them out for 45 after scoring 338? :danish

That sort of hammering would be hard to come across, even if you included games between associates and Test nations.

I assume I always need to clarify which post is serious and which is not.
