CSK and Pubjab are probably cut adrift. Mumbai and Delhi will qualify. The fight for the other 2 places is between RCB,RR,KKR, and SRH.

Never write off Dhoni, but CSK look a spent force at the moment, in need of fresh faces.

I think Dehli will win it.

The spot for the 4th place is going to really interesting. Fergurson is definitely going to start which boosts KKR chances . RR have a lot of quality and won today so can't rule them out. Punjab are getting on role.

Strap yourself in, it's going go be an entertaining few weeks

In terms of player quality, Rajasthan Royals are the 3rd best team after MI and DC. They should sneak through into the play offs.

KKR give me a Manchester United kind of vibe under SAF, they seem to have a lot of luck or magic you can say on their side

MI is the strongest unit (mental edge, deep batting unit, bowling a bit iffy) but Delhi Capitals could pose a serious threat if their their batting clicks.

DC has the most potential tho.

Want Kings XI to qualify for playoffs.

If they win, that's all good too.

As long as RCB & CSK don't win, I am good. :P

King_Kohli, what do you think now? :yk

I am still not sure bro, how we gonna handle strong teams like MI and DC in playoffs.
I have no doubt about bowling but batting heavily depending on ABD and Kohli.
Finch is irresponsible.

CSK become first team to bow out from IPL 2020; Dhoni's men fail to seal playoff berth for 1st time in history

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side has become the first team to bow out from IPL 2020 after Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered a stunning win over defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI).

Rajasthan Royals' (RR) remarkable win over defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on matchday 45 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 13 has shattered Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) hopes of sealing a late playoff berth on Sunday. The MS Dhoni-led side is officially out of the qualification race for the business end of the competition after Rajasthan upstaged Mumbai in a high-scoring contest at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Thus, three-time champions Chennai Super Kings have become the first franchise to get eliminated from the playoff race of this season's Indian Premier League. CSK's elimination from the prestigious tournament has been confirmed hours after the Dhoni-led side registered a morale-boosting win over Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match No.44 of the IPL 2020.

Speaking after CSK's emphatic eight-wicket win over RCB, Dhoni had asserted that the Chennai side doesn't stand a chance to make it to the playoffs this season. "You do quite a few things, show a bit more emotion (on the happier side) so that the guys feel a bit more confident and relaxed. If you don't do well, it does hurt and so you amplify a few emotions so that the guys don't leave the games. We dont really have a chance to make it to the play-offs, leave the mathematical part of it," Dhoni was quoted as saying at the post-match press conference.

Widely regarded as one of the most successful teams in the history of IPL, the Chennai franchise has always made it to the business end of the competition in every single season of the cash-rich league they have featured in. This is, however, the first time that the Yellow Brigade has failed to enter the playoff since the tournament's inception in 2008. Talking about Chennai's abysmal run in the 13th edition of the cash-rich league, the Dhoni-led side is rock bottom after four wins and eight defeats from 12 matches this season.

How the table is looking after Punjab's win over KKR today:

If MI beat RCB
KKR beat CSK
KXIP beat RR
DC beat MI
SRH beat RCB
KXIP beat CSK
KKR beat RR
RCB beat DC
SRH beat MI

MI, RCB, KKR, KXIP & DC will be on 16 points each. So even after tomorrow’s game we won’t have any team qualifying yet for the playoffs

MI with one win is most certainly will qualify due to their superior NRR.

Team 1: RCB has a balanced team with a very strong set of bowlers. As the pitches are slowing down, RCB has the best chance.
Team 2: However, in T20 any team can beat on their day. I see Anil Kumble/Andy Flower coached KXIP is picking up steam. If they continue their form, I expect KXIP to be 2020 IPL Champions.

I am sad, mad CSK did not make it to the playoffs this season. But I am also glad they didn't, with that useless team. Had they done well, it would have set the wrong example for the future.

Let us hope they assemble a good set of players going forward.

IPL 2020: 6 teams to compete for 3 playoff positions in their last game of the most outrageous seas

Chennai is standing last having won 5/13 games

Only Mumbai has qualified with 9/13 wins

2 teams tied with 7/13 wins
4 teams tied with h 6/13 wins

KKR will benefit from RCB v DC game, as loser of that game will most likely have NRR worse than that of KKR unless if it’s very close game. SRH will have to defeat MI to qualify or else it’s all over for them. This season is open till the very last game. Nice

A lot depends on mi vs srh.
If MI doesn't rest their main players, they will easily beat SRH.

If RCB lose today then I won’t be surprised if MI underperforms against SRH and knock RCB out.

Rohit v Kohli off the field is really getting intense.
