People underestimating Pakistan ALOT, we will win this match 100%. India has to try a new batting combination with Dhawan out and this will unsettle them. No matter what happens Pakistan WILL win Inshallah.

Man to man - there is no comparison - Pakistan cannot win on paper but then, it only takes one or two performances from Pakistan a-al-Fakhar Zaman or a Mohammad Amir burst of wickets to change the odds significantly!

If this happened in all matches till now, Pak should have been in #1 in points table.

Mohammad Amir and to an extent Fakhar Zaman are our only hope of winning.

Babar Azam, Haris Sohail, Imam Ul Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz all have to play supporting roles and be at their best if we are to beat a team like India.

Looking at poll results it seems that Pakistanis are matured and practical except those 19 :shadab

Looks like a washout. Still heavily raining here this morning and i live 10 minutes away from the ground. weather at weekend is meant to be just as bad.

IA rain will win, and Pak will then beat NZ and SA to qualify for the semis.

So people still standing by their predictions?

No Dhawan means India isn’t at full-strength, and it is a downer for me. Even if we fluke a win today, it would feel inadequate.

Our streak ending victory should have come against a full-strength Indian team.

Lol

Yup today it feels good. Pakistan will win InshaAllah.
India has too much pressure from its 1.2billion supporters to give a reply to Pakistan for its dismal performance in CT17 final and a few other things will also be playing on their minds from a political pow whereas Pakistan can go in knowing they have been written off by most, play to its strength.. Win the toss bowl 1st.
Amir is coming from a 5 wkt haul.
Get early wkt preferably 1st over.
Aim to bring Kholi early to the crease by 4th /5th over.
Use the overcast conditions.

How can you predict when you have two big unpredictables in the equation - Pakistan team and English weather.

Anything can happen.

Match can be abandoned with no result.

Pakistan can win toss bowl first and dismiss India for 78 if Amir and Wahab get into inspired form and chase it before the rain starts at mid day. :)

Or more likely in terms of probability, India bat first and score 340 and Pakistan get to 180-7 before Hassan Ali and Wahab slog a few , and rain stops play and comes to the rescue.

Anything can happen.

If Pakistan can't beat this Indian team of all teams, the current lot of Pakistani cricketers should just quit professional sport and start a meat shop or something.

I think India and Pakistan will again meet in the semi final if today's match is washed out. :inti

Our chances of qualifying for the semis has decreased drastically because of the Australia match and the potential washout today.

Still, let’s hope for the best.

KP chooses India and I loved his reason:

Based on Pak bowling first and having played with and under Sarfraz, I understand emotion will be involved and for that reason I pick India :cobra

Bro what do you by the last part?

With Kohli's luck he has averaged 60 and scored thousands of runs, with Kohli's luck he has turned India into an amazing winning team.

Well, I have noticed Kohli loses all the important tosses.

Test series in SA and Eng.

Lost all the tosses in the Eng series. Had Joe Root not inserted India in one of the tests, Eng could have whitewashed us 5-0.

Of course, we didn't play as badly as the scorecard suggests but still....whitewash could have happened.

As luck would have it, Kohli lost the toss again in the WC game against Pak.

The MOMENT I saw Sarfraz inserted India to bat, I was relieved a bit. We just had to see through the first 45 minutes and things would work out fine I thought and that's pretty much what happened.

With all being said, while I mentioned "luck" in my post, I was thinking about luck + captaincy combo.

Kohli is a good leader (in tests) but an atrocious captain. I have observed him for years and I can't think of anyone worse than him in Indian circuit. Luckily India has Dhoni and Rohit in leadership roles to help him out.

On this day 3 years ago, India beat Pakistan in ODI world cup for 7th time.

Though a dull match but Hitman Sharma's knock was memorable.

Also, Kuldeep's delivery to get rid of Babar Azam was a gem.

Still baffles me why Sarfraz choose to bowl first after winning the toss.

What is your memory from that game and who you think win the next one in 2023?
