No they were never closen they were lucky to draw the third one.

Should have easily been 3-1.

Truth is India at their peak beat Aussies in 2018. No Warner, his mum or Smith would have stopped India that year. They were in hot form with everyone firing.

Now we have a bit of an unsettled opening pair. It will take some time. Our batting has been subpar due to too much IPL, T20 and odi etc.

When you tour away, you always need to play tests first not short format then tests.

SENA teams have headed in right direction whereas we have moved back in 90s. No stroke makers in test lineup, meek, weak approach.
Ind have not faced quality bowling in their own backyard. Warne, Mcgrath could get them all out in 70 if not 36.
Bowling, yes, top notch. Batting, would barely survive.

Dude McGrath, Warner would get wrecked in India vs virat's prime India. Warne has always been trash in India.

Do not confuse India's away form to home form. They are absolute home bullies in Asia. They will crush them. Mincemeat. I guarantee you even our club team players would bully Cummins, Hazelwood just like last time when we won without Virat in the last test back in 2017.


India are now just rebuilding a little bit but it will be back to normal rather soon.

You will see it vs England.

Only issue with India is poor planning and selections. You need to pick right players for the right condtions.

Also India needs to priroitize tests first. They should play tests away before playing short format.

Money is now in t20 and odi so I can understand their logic however it's up to the team management.

Check Mcgrath's record in India. No way this batting lineupwould cope Warne apart from 1-2 batsmen. Wo tho Tendu, Dravid, Laxman etc.the isiliye zel gaye.
