Which was the better team in World Cup 2019: India or Pakistan?

I am having a query as to who performed better in this World Cup between the two Asian powerhouses- India and Pakistan.

Pakistan absolutely outplayed the two finalists in this World Cup, while India in contrast lost to both the finalists, England and New Zealand.

So, who would you consider a better ODI team in this World Cup as both have been eliminated?

Far better openers, ATG #3, better fast bowlers, even their backup spinner was better than Pakistan's first choice spinners. 37 years old Dhoni is still better than current Sarfraz in every aspect of the game.

India's only weakness was two middle order spots but let's not forget that had Dhawan not injured himself, they did not have to carry Karthik.

A full strength Indian team vs a full strength Pakistani team:

Dhawan > Fakhar
Rohit > Imam
Kohli > Babar
Rahul = Hafeez
Pant/Karthik/Jadhav < Haris
Dhoni > Sarfraz
Pandya > Pakistan did not have any fast bowling all-rounder
Jadeja/Kuldeep/Chahal > Shadab/Imad
Bumrah > Aamir
Bhuvi > Wahab/Hassan
Shami = Afridi

A case can made for only Haris being better than an Indian middle order batsman but other than that India simply wipes the floor with the current Pakistani team.

No one was surprised when Pakistan didn’t make it to the semis. Everyone was shocked when India lost the semis. That should answer the question.

Joke of a thread. India is the 3rd best team in the WC. Despite the SF result, England and India are still top 2 teams. Aussies have surprised themselves and are a close third. The rest are a couple of notches below Aussies.
