Does it exist?
Have you been on the receiving end of it?
Have you gained from it?
Any examples of it that you have heard about or seen?
I actually feel white men are discriminated in today's world. Woke leftist propaganda machine blames white men for everything.
No wonder white men prefer non white women, because all we hear from white women is hate for white men, BLM, feminism, drag race, fat acceptance, comical new genders, pro illegal immigration etc.
I think everyone enjoys a privilege in some part of the world, Asians are often portrayed as victims but they openly hate blacks and consider them inferior. Same could be said for any race. But overall world is a much better place now.
White privilege is a myth.
Only the black community really complain about white privilege.
Blacks in Amreeka and UK have held, and do hold, the highest office in Politics, Military, Media, Sports, Arts, Finance, you name it.
Case of Liberalism gone mad.
I grew up in a big majority white town, all my friends in school were white.
I grew up to live a better life than them.
If you have goals, determination and a brain, it doesn't matter what colour you are in UK. Everyone has setbacks for some reason. This is weak mentality to believe you have failed because others have an advantage, truth is you have failed because you're a kitten...to put it politely.
100%.
It is easier to hate than to love, which is why the black community in the USA/UK love to blame racism rather than look in the mirror.
Absence of a father figure in black communities plays an instrumental role in the Blacks failing to progress in society, thus resorting to crime, drug addiction, welfare payments etc.
If the USA/UK was systematically racist due to white privilege existing on the back of social injustices, then right now, Downing Street would not be called Browning Street, and whites would not have voted for Obama, twice. This is just one example.
Liberals just need an excuse to stay relevant.
On another note, the only White Privilege that might exist, is membership of the KKK.
Most of the desis who reply on these threads are either immigrants or living in the third world so they have low expectations. For them it is an honour to be a second class citizen in a first world country, and I suppose that's fair enough. Those of us who are born and brought up overseas don't accept inferiority based on skin colour. But multiculturalism is an evolving process, things are much better now than 50 years ago. It's more subtle stuff nowadays, not in your face, like in the movies you watch.
not white privilege, network privilege. being white doesn't help if you don't know the right white people, and one quick glance at any major city company shows that Indians are pbly way more over-represented as a percentage of the population than white people.
privilege exists, but it's far more class-based. like rishi said, he doesn't have working-class friends.
also Technics 1210 whilst there are a lot of people who use movements like BLM for their own gains, there is no doubt black men face very specific issues in the UK, and I've seen and heard people say some shocking stuff behind black peoples backs, and brown ppl tend to be the worst. one of my best mates from childhood is black, and I've seen him go through random stuff all his life for it.
I do not deny for a minute that people talk behind black backs, brown backs, and in our culture behind white backs.
However White privilege is associated with opportunity and the idea that white folk have an opportunity and none whites do not is a complete myth, and the evidence proves this.

Perhaps so, class is an issue though race and class are connected.
How many times have we heard “brown = terrorist, black = thug, white = mentally ill”?
That is white privilege.
i grew up reading britpaks were terrorists, honour killers, groomers, pedophiles, in the mid 00s and early 10s. they printed that stuff cos it had a market to be read. but it didn't impact my ability to do ok in academics and work, cos i never internalised it.
if your mentally strong u can take a step back and understand the relationship between the supply and demand of that perceived privilege, unfortunately, we live in a society now where u are told it is wrong to not act on your emotional impulse to the offence you must feel.
that kind of privilege you can mitigate through your own hard work, being born to rich parents who know all the right people to get you where you want to go, is the roll of the dice that results in material different outcomes that those from the have nots cannot mitigate.
its late so i might sound rambly. but what im saying is the economic privilege of the class system is more material than the wedges MSM tries to drive amongst most people from similar economic backgrounds.

Do they? I think majority of white men prefer white women. And vice versa.
That "woke" propaganda is done by white liberals who want minorities to block vote for them.
In every country a majority has privilege. So in a country like US, where society has been divided on race, the largest racial majority (white people) has privilege.
In Pakistan Muslims have privilege. In India Hindus have privilege. In China the Han Chinese have privilege.
You will never completely remove the majority's privileged status, however to make any improvement in the life of the minority you need to recognize that the privilege's exists. Pakistan did a good thing of giving its minorities quotas in jobs, parliament, universities, etc.
By not recognizing majority privilege you end up in situations where the majority believes itself to be the victim, and that they are in danger from the minority. You can see this among white nationalist in US, and Hindu Nationalist in India. Overwhelming majority, yet they are worried the minorities will take over.
In the UK it has entered the culture war being fought by the current Tory government and their media allies, to make working class whites feel something is being taken away from them.
The last part of this post reads as a bit minimising IMO. Working class white people are not an appropriate target for such a comment. They are indeed an underprivileged, a forgotten and an unjustly socially reviled group of people who do require significant support — particularly the young men within this group — and they should not be sacrificed because of their ethnicity.
Never thought much of it until i experianced what i can only term as white privelage in my last job.I worked for a well renowned department store in london, worked my way up to team leader and had enough job knowledge and experiance to move up into a mangement role. Everytime a role came up i was told i wasnt suitable.
The company offered a management programme which was pretty much a ticket to a management position on 2 different occassions i was told i was not suitable for this as the programme had a presentation at the end which you had to to in front of the board of directors, and my manager was unsure if i could "handle it". All the while i i saw young white blonde blue eyed employees come in from rich middle/upper class families and were pushed forward for roles because they fit the bill, even though they had no knowledge or experiance of how things worked.
Things are getting much better however from my experiance and especially in the workplace not sure if its my new company or what but a lot more concious efforts are made to include people from all walks of life.

Now a lot of companies are into featuring 'woke' advertisements for their products. If the advertisement features a couple, it's always a black man with a white woman. It's never the other way around, a white or black couple, or even a gay/lesbian couple. The idea is that if a man and woman decide to become a couple, it amounts to the man 'conquering' the woman. And with a black man and a white woman....you can figure out the rest.
Shows you that these 'woke' a**holes are not just racist, but also misogynist, sexist and homophobic. And they have the cheek to call themselves 'politically correct'.
Your assumption that we are happy being a second class citizen is wrong. There will be racists from all cultures and races. But they do not have enough clout to suppress your career or growth as a person.
The point is not denying discrimination completely. But the extent to which it is brought up in everything by Black folks and other minority communities. They have a white bogeyman hovering over their head all the time trying to put them down. But they do not realize that its their own culture, victim mentality and lack of willingness to succeed that is stopping them in west.
Its called partiality. Preferring your own kind happens in all cultures. Religion, race, language, tribe all play a part in it.
If your talents are not getting recognized in an organization, then its time to jump the ship.
Where I work, we had a layoff. Out of 8 people in my department, 4 were white, 3 black and I was the South Asian. All 4 white people were laid off. There could be a case made for racism. But nothing happened.
I remember being at an airport in the UK a few years ago and there was an Asian lady in the queue to check in. She was elderly, had young kids with her and looked stressed.
A group of 4 English folk walked past, 2 men and 2 women and I heard one of the men say let's join ahead of that old P**i.
To my shock they pushed ahead of her in the queue with the lady being too scared to say anything to them.
Lots of people saw what was happening but nobody said anything.
I was fuming and went up to them and said we are all waiting in line and you should too and pointed to where the back of the queue was.
The look on their faces was priceless, it was as if how dare he say that to us. Anyway they soon realised I meant what I was saying and wasn't going anywhere.
After a minute or so they shook their heads, mumbled something and walked to the back of the line.
Nope, plenty of non-whites have made it to the very top, but that doesn't mean they have to take casual or subtle racism lying down. Like I said, this isn't something I expect the immigrant to understand, and I don't think you should either. You are still a foreigner at the end of the day, and you can't relate like the native born will. Neither should you, that would be your next generation with those expectations.
I always think social media and comment sections are good barometers of what people really feel. It's usually misogyny and racism
Bottom line is, USA is the best country in the world and gives everyone the best opportunity to start a new life. It has its own problems. But it is still by far the best ever.

Not the best ever in infant mortality.
Or life expectancy,
Or education.
Or crime.
I wouldn’t want to live there.
I’s say Norway, Sweden or Australia are the best countries to live in.
A lion is the fastest or strongest or the most athletic animal. But it is still the king of the Savannah.
The Norways and Swedens of the world will run to USA if they are ever attacked by say Russia. Their armies cannot defend themselves or their civilians.
Liberals with their false comparisons again. Norway has about 6 Million population vs USA, 330 Million.
It stands to reason, where the population is less, standard of living is higher, simply cos there's less of them!
What? Are you serious?
The UK has 66 million people and an economy the same size as India shares between 1,400 million people. But Spain with a population 30% smaller is POORER than the UK.
Australia has 25 million people and an economy the same size as Russia shares between 140 million people. But New Zealand with a population 80% smaller than Australia is POORER than Australia.
A country's standard of living is a factor of its wealth, but also its priorities for spending and taxation.
The US government spends more on the armed forces per capita than European countries. But it taxes the rich much less, and spends far less per capita on health, education and a social safety net, so it trails western Europe on almost every indicator for quality of life.
Almost nobody emigrates to the USA from countries like Australia or the UK or Germany or France or from Scandinavia, because they already enjoy a superior quality of life where they are.
the last year or two, inflation and the erosion of peoples real wages, has done more to increase the benefit that privilege will bring in the future than any work done to address the supposed unfairness of white priveledge could undo.
despite all the wokery we are sleep walking into a fundamentally virtually irreversably stratified society, if the middle classes, regardless of their colour, are destroyed.

How Diverse is Norway? American society is a melting point, one can be an Indian American, but i haven’t heard of terms like Norwegian Indian, German Indian etc, not saying they should be welcoming or that other nationalities should be imposed on them but as an immigrant myself I would definitely not choose Europe.
Canada and US are way more welcoming.
Here's another one.
The looks you get when you live in/visit an affluent area where there are hardly any people of colour living there.
It's almost like, how dare you be around here.

The casual racism is not going to go away anytime soon. White people have certain opinions on us just as we have on them. But that is not going to stop me or the white person to achieve what they want in west.
I will never be like a native born American in US. But this country has given me enough which I would have never achieved if I was in India. I am not going to whine about the casual racism (I have never experienced it much) for my shortcomings.
Bottom line is, USA is the best country in the world and gives everyone the best opportunity to start a new life. It has its own problems. But it is still by far the best ever.
As I said, you are an immigrant, and it is perfectly understandable that you are grateful to accept second class citizenship because it is still a better life than you could live in India. I am not arguing you are wrong. I just said your next generation (assuming you are heterosexual and have kids) will have a different view. They will see themselves as Americans and for them they will want the same rights and have the same expectations as white Americans. Or at least they would if they were of Pakistani descent, I suppose I can't really speak for Hindus as their culture may be different.
I am not a second class citizen. I have every right and opportunity as a white man or black man in US of A. I am not a victim of any discrimination or jokes. Everyone gets discriminated at some level. But it will not or never change the outcome for me unless I allow it.
May be you are discriminated badly in England to feel bitter about being a second class citizen. Not everyone experiences life the same way.
Just because you are not going to let it stop you as an individual doesn't mean it's not there. This is exactly what a second class citizen would say if he or she was an immigrant from a third world country. We have immigrants from Syria and Ethiopia risking their lives by crossing the seas in a dinghy, don't you think they can argue nothing is going to stop them either? Does that make them first class citizens when they eventually land here?
I did not jump on a dingy boat to immigrate to USA. I took the legal channel and I was armed with very good education to succeed once I landed.
People who migrate legally rarely face any major hurdle to achieve their goals. Anyone who cannot speak a word of English and who are not educated enough will face major challenges. These are the ones that take illegal channels. Rightfully they do not get any respect neither from authorities nor the people.
Some refugees are doctors and lawyers fleeing persecution, unable to leave their county of origin or enter the West under normal channels.

But you are missing the point still. Even though you are legal immigrant, doesn't mean that racism isn't there, just that as an immigrant it's not your concern, your first and only objective is making a good life in the first world having lived a poor quality one in the third world. Legal or illegal, the objective is the same and the lack of care about racism is likewise. If you have kids born in the west, they will think differently, they will think same as native westerners and thus fight against racism. Do you disagree?
People make fun of old, fat, bald, thin, homosexuals.... Basically anyone that looks different or deviate from what is considered normal in that society. I did not live in USA back in 60's or 70's to know how bad the racism was.
I moved to USA more than 20 years ago and in my experience, the racism thing is extremely overblown. I did encounter a few racists who yell something from their car and sped away. I can say that 99.99% of people are respectful. No one is holding down anyone here from succeeding.
I have 2 kids going to school and they never complained anything to me. Whites are a minority in most schools where I live.
Some may be doctors and lawyers. They will eventually make it in the West though they may face initial difficulties. Overwhelming majority are poor, illiterate or barely have any skills to make a living. They are there just for free stuff.

Here's one that a friend of mine told me about.
He and his family went to buy some ice creams.
After ordering he was told rudely to wait outside as he was blocking other customers from ordering. Note there was nobody else in the shop.
He said he would wait inside as he wasn't blocking anyone.
To this the staff started to get mouthy with him and his family and threatened to call the police.
He stayed put, didn't move and said he was going nowhere and said no problem call the police. They didn't call the police.
Then he noticed he had been overcharged and brought this up with the staff. The staff were giving different excuses for the extra charges. Then suddenly one of the staff started accusing him of swearing, which was totally false.
Other customers came in while he was waiting who were white and the staff were very polite with them.
He couldn't wait to get out of that shop and has vowed to never go to the shop again.
There is privilege of all kinds, it just depends on where you live. But it seems like liberals only have a problem with white privilege.
Well aren’t they correct to? Isn’t discrimination on the grounds if race bad? Everyone should have a problem with it.
I do, and I benefit from it.
Of course discrimination based on the race is bad.
But I believe people use racism and discrimination as a tool to hate on white folks.
