Who do you think will win the 2nd edition of the Pakistan Super League?
 
No idea, squads are very balanced (except quetta gladiators).... zalmi might actually win it....
 
I think Zalmi will go all the way this time, but United and Qalandars will be up there as well.

Gladiators will be the flop team of this season.
 
KK for me - my Karachi roots speaking here :)
 
I would have voted for Zalmi, but they are going to be in deep trouble, when the finals start.

I'm pretty certain, the final will be played in early Mar because last time the players did have an issue about the cramped schedule and it will most likely be spread out this time.

If you look at the fixtures, you will notice BBL finishes around 28 Jan and the Eng ODI warm up games for the WI tour starts around 25 Feb.

Basically, Zalmi's are going to lose Morgan, Hales and Jordan for the final stages.

One of LQ or KK to win.
 
Think Karachi Kings will do it this year. Zalmi still strong, United and Gladiators not as strong but good to see the lessor teams improving. Karachi and Lahore match should be interested!
 
Islamabad or Peshawar. If any other team wins, I refuse to accept the results on account of massive dhandli.
 
Come on Lahore, though I feel the team is too bowling heavy but let's see. Lahore vs Karachi final in Lahore would be epic though.
 
Lahore Q to play finals for sure - other finalist for me is Zalmi, but won't be surprised if KK makes it.

On contrary, it's a tight race for wooden spoon between the last 2 finalist.
 
Voted for Quetta. Beating LQ in Final.

By the way [MENTION=9]Saj[/MENTION] , it reads Lahore "Gladiators" in Poll Options.

Fanfare apart, I honestly think that KK will go all the way because IMO they have many matchwinners e.g Gayle, Pollard, Sanga, Bopara, Babar, Amir, Imad etc etc. All these guys are matchwinners in T20s atleast. Even if one of these guys has it his way then there's no stopping them. Shahzeb and Usama Mir are impact players as well.

Apart from KK

Lahore - Fragile in batting apart from BMac and Umar. Will reach final if batting holds up.

Quetta - Non-existent bowling attack (apart from Nawaz maybe) which cost them last year's final. Might bow out in group stage.

Peshawar - Overall most strong team after KK. Have the best and most experienced local talent and good enough international players. Decent chance of playing final.

Islamabad - They have almost the same team. Decent team but has many hit or miss players. Can't say about how far they will reach. Too unpredictable.
 
Lahore or Zalmi.

Khi has an outside chance.

Gladiator's luck has run out.
 
Too few teams to make it a contest. I didn't watch the last PSL so I don't know how the teams stack up, I think any team could actually win it considering that the PSL doesn't have much history and the teams have changed quite a bit since last season.
 
I hope they change the format a bit unlike last year where 4 out of 5 teams qualified for the knockouts.. it made the qualifiers totally irrelevant.

Let all of them play each other twice and top two should just qualify for best of three finals. But considering Sethi sb wants the final to be in Lahore, best of 3 finals would be too much to hope for.
 
Karachi Kings the clear leaders at the moment.
 
Islamabad United being underestimated again. The team practically retained everyone because it works and they gel together as a team. They have a good chance to retain it. After them, I would say Karachi Kings because they have a good team on paper

Going by the overall squads, I reckon LQ and PZ can go all the way.

Lq and Zalmi look very strong. Both have gun batting line ups. If we get good batting pitches those 2 teams could cause carnage.

We kept most of our team together, Zalmi and LQ have a lot of new players. Hoping the "stability model"works to quote MMHS. :misbah

Lot depends on the wicket as well. If the UAE wickets are like the last WI series then IU under Misbah can do better, because Misbah is good at operating in such condition. But, if the wickets are 170+ per wicket, then I don't think Sharjeel alone can't pull them to Finals.

Lahore & Peshawar are my finalists - both sides are balanced & they have a change in leadership which pulled them back last time.

LQ to win it for me.

Don't want them low and slow wickets they don't make for entertaining cricket. We also have Billings,Ducktett, Latif,and Watson who can all clear the ropes so don't rule us out on 170 plus pitches.
 
I think this time lahore will win . Although dont care who wins because ultimately its a win for Pakistan.
 
lahore will win sorry islamabad united like last year this year i cannot support oldies any more
