Going by general consensus, I think most of us would agree that the top 5 Asian cricketers are, in any particular order, Sachin, Imran, Murali, Wasim and Gavaskar.

Who do you think is the 6th greatest Asian cricketers?

I will pick sangakara, the stylish left handed batter whom i can easily place in TOP 5.

Arvinda Da Silva

Joking

But he was a legendary name from Asia too

Going by general consensus, I think most of us would agree that the top 5 Asian cricketers are, in any particular order, Sachin, Imran, Murali, Wasim and Gavaskar.

Murali was a chucker.

When it comes to Asia Imran, Kapil, Tendulkar, Wasim, Virat, Sangakara will be my top 6.

Virat Kohli though 2015 WC, 2017 CT and 2019 WC is a big asterisk on his record. Somebody who considered the greatest batsman while chasing the target should have helped his team get over the line in at least one of these matches.

Yeah, man, he choked big time in those games. But still, he is one of the ATG especially in white ball format. Definitely worth a top 5 from Asia.

But who told you that Murali is in top 5? He is a cheat whose record should wiped out from history.

Herath is the GOAT Sri Lankan spinner and Ashwin is the GOAT Asian off-spinner.

This is the actual top 5:

1. Tendulkar - GOAT Asian batsman
2. Kohli - Second greatest Asian batsman overall, GOAT white ball batsman and GOAT Asian Test captain
3. Wasim - GOAT Asian fast bowler
4. Gavaskar - GOAT Asian Test opener
5. Ashwin/Jadeja - GOATs Asian Test all-rounders

Miandad! Tough as nails if you'd put your life on anyone then it should be on this street fighter from Karachi. Was always the prize wicket whenever Pak played anyone during his time. Never one to shun a challenge in my opinion he won us the WC in 1992 with his great batting in the semi's and the final.

My sixth greatest Asian cricketer would be Kapil Dev.

He won India the World Cup at the age of 24 when a certain other captain couldn’t win it until he was 40, not to forget initiating the India World Cup streak vs Pakistan that is haunting and embarrassing Pakistan cricket to date.

Kapil beat arguably the GOAT team twice in the World Cup including in the final.

The 1983 World Cup win was not only defining for India but for Asian cricket overall. It was a watershed moment that broke the duopoly and stronghold of England/Australia on cricket and put Asian cricket on the map.

It led to a surge in popularity of cricket in not just India but also the subcontinent overall and forced ICC to host 2 of the next 3 World Cups in the subcontinent.

It is the greatest World Cup win ever simply because of its impact and how it changed the game of cricket forever.

Salute to Kapil, the lion heart and the most selfless captain ever who never wanted personal glory and never leveraged his World Cup victory for political gains.

A true captain, a true leader and a true cornered tiger. Kapil was a soldier.

1. Imran Khan

2. Wasim Akram

3. Javed Miandad

4. Younis Khan

5. Waqar Younis

6. Sanath Jayasuriya

WOW we know your desire for attention and hunger for it, but seriously have you ever thought of looking for mental help?
This is a serious question.

I am afraid there will always be a question mark over Murali. This is why he is always rightfully ignored by Cricket experts as being a top bowler. Shane Warne is considered the GOAT spinner of all time despite having fewer wickets then Murali. Having at least a suspicious action excludes him as a candidate. No one ever seems to respect him much despite having the highest number of wickets.

Agreed with the top 4.
However, I think Murali should be the 5th name on the list, it was ICC’s fault he was allowed to bowl, not his own.

Accoring to David Gower's perspective (in order)-

Sachin Tendulkar
Imran Khan
Sunil Gavaskar
Wasim Akram
Javed Miandad
