Mushfiqur Rahim deserves a definite shout out. Plays all 3 forms of the game

Bairstow been brilliant too. de Kock too.

Bairstow in tests definitely and probably in ODIs as well, but since he doesn't keep in that format, Buttler gets my vote in ODIs.

Bairstow in tests and Butler in ODIs. De Kock is a close second to both. Mushfiq is third in LOIs

There's no point in regurgitating these threads. QdK is the best of this generation, already won a series in Australia on his own, did okay in NZ as well in a won series. It's a question of who is the second best.

In T20s it is legend Kami, no one can beat him.

Kami means God in Japanese :D

Nowadays I like watching QDK bat. Not sure if he is the best though.

My all time favorites are Gilchrist and MSD

He has some issues against lateral movement. Needs to rectify them.
Bairstow is slightly better in tests atm.

Qdk looked worse than a tailender against India

If i have to choose one out of the whole lot, its QDK. Mushfiqur and Bairstow are right up there aswell.

All time best for me - Gilchrist. Man this guy was just lethal.

Jonny pour moi. Although I would take the gloves off him and play him as a specialist batsman in the top 4 as the potential reward is so much greater.

1. Bairstow
2. de Kock
3. Mushfiqur
4. Watling
5. Paine
6. Dowrich
7. Dickwella
8. Saha
9. Sarfraz

Don't like him but Mushfiqur has to be in this conversation. He's taken his game up a notch in the past 3 years.

Saha as pure wicket keeper but as complete package Watling is the undisputed best, reminds me of Matt Prior.

Watling but I feel that de kock will have more full-fledged career and will be considered as the keeper batsmen of this generation.

Purely as a keeper, Saha is the best in the world. But as a keeper-bat its the one and only BJ Watling.

BJ Watling.

He is gritty and scores runs when his team needs him.

Not your archetypical WK batsman, but he is very effective.

BJ Watling in tests. Probably QdK in ODIs although he hasn't been particularly special over the last year or two

Parthiv Patel and Kamran Akmal ; but for being GOALKEEPER rather than WICKETKEEPER

de Kock numbers are way higher than any other wicket-keeper in this World Cup in terms of dismissals. He is also ahead of everyone in terms of scoring runs.

If You were Pakistan's captain who would you choose as the wicket-keeper for T20 world cup?

My pick would be Rizwan as he is super fit to keep the wickets but he really needs to improve his SR to retain the position in this format.

While talking to a local Indian media outlet, Australian cricket great Adam Gilchrist revealed his top three wicketkeeper-batsmen of all time:

“Rodney Marsh, he was my idol. That’s who I wanted to be. MS Dhoni… I like his coolness. He did it his way, always calm.”

“And Kumar Sangakkara. He was so classy in everything he did, batting high up the order and with his keeping skills.”
