Best Captain is Morgan, and second best in non-performing-captain category.. I meant in this world cup..

Babar Azam.

His bowling changes, reading the game situation etc. are nearly perfect so far. Couple of examples:

1) Even though there was the temptation of starting with Imad against 2 right handers, he went to his main striker Shaheen in very first over against India.

2) Bringing Hafeez when left hander Pant came to bat and bringing the deep mid wicket in. Pant eventually took the gamble against Shadab and got out

Some good captaincy so far by Babar.

Compare that with Kohli when only 20 runs were required yesterday in 8 overs for NZ, he kept 3 fielders in boundary :)))

Morgan was already a great leader, on the other hand, there were many questions on Babar's captaincy and leadership. However, he has proved his critics wrong big time. cometh the hour cometh the man!

It's quite clearly Morgan, it's not only encapsulated by results and tactical intelligence but also the control he exerts over all aspects of England's white ball team.

Morgan ranks higher because he uses analytics, and is more unconventional, and is far less talented than Kane, but still he only listens to the best interest of the team. He has the control to pick & drop anybody.
Everyone has ideas, but its not easy to have the courage to implement unconventional tactics. Superb in drs.
His captaincy makes a difference.

Williamson, Morgan and Babar in this order. Babar has been very good - above all expectations. I think the Afghan captain has been quite good too.

Many players proved me wrong in this WC so far , including Harris Rauf, Asif and above all Babar's captaincy. I always thought he was not a captaincy material , but he is leading the team from front. Calm , calculated and making the right moves at right time . An under rated but very good captain.

I think Babar quickly realised his one mistake right there when Afghanistani Batsmen were under pressure. Hasan Ali had been expensive in all matches and Babar gave him the ball for 18th over when he should have bowled 20th. After that over, bowlers were under pressure and we ended up giving 10-15 extra runs.

Morgan of course.

Not only has he been the best in this tournament, he is one of the best Limited Overs captain in history.

The overrating of Kane Williamson continues though.

My vote goes to Temba. He's went into the tournament without many of his stalwart players and has still lead the staffers to wins from 2/3 games (soon to be 3/4). Handled the QDK situation quite admirably also.

It would have been relatively simple for him to abandon QDK but he showed considerable leadership that has been recognised worldwide, including some recognition from QDK himself. In a volatile environment like South African cricket where every decision can have massive political repercussions he has shown considerable dignity and class. Many posters on this forum question his place in the team never mind his ability to captain and I'm sure some of these questions are criticisms are amplified back home, especially when Faf, ABDV and other big names have either sidelines themselves or been sidelined.

If South Africa qualify into the semis from this group of death it should be recognised as a fantastic achievement given the constraints they are operating under and the various off-field issues that plague them.

Sometimes captaincy isn't about onfield performances but it is about unifying a team or bringing a country together. I think Temba has done the former and maybe if the team proceeds deeper into the tournament he can do the latter.

not even close. He could had won the game agianst Pakistan had he made good changes..

Till now, Kohli and Nabi have been worse.

Kohli kept panicking and made bowling chnages against Pakistan. Nabi doesnt even know how to attack from both ends in bowling and to keep one over or Rashid in case
