What's new

Who is the most unlikeable player in world cricket right now?

Haha. Fake piety, fake injuries, disappears in World Cups.

So if he became less religious and contributed to a world cup win and had better fitness youd actually like him?

Makes no sense at all Theres others in the team who are also all of the above Do you not like them too?

Players worldwide have become vanilla. There aren't many unlikeable players currently.

I think Virat Kohli has a serious entitlement issue. So does Shakib Al Hasan.

Yuzvendra Chahal (Human form of the word 'cringe')

Temba Bavuma (way too entitled for a guy with limited abilities)

Mohammed Rizwan (a whole new level of pretentious)

The players I dislike the most (in no particular order):

Shadab Khan
Naseem Shah
Haris Rauf
Hassan Ali

Watching them fail gives me great joy.

curious to know who you like, any Pakistani players.

From Pakistan it is Sarfraz and Amir. I used to like them both but way Amir has tried to bad mouth PCT shows how terrible and toxic person he is and hopefully he stays far away from the team. Sarfraz was one of my favourite player but way he has played politics and always encouraged the Karachi journalist mafia shows me how hypocrite he is.
At international level I hate Rohit Sharma. May be because I am a Virat fan.

Dont see any mentions of Danushka Gunathilaka... Been accused of rape. Ofcourse he is innocent until proven guilty though!

If we talk about non-Pakistani players, has to be Moeen. Pathetic player who is always moaning and playing victim.

Azam Khan. Its a disgrace that he has gotten selected with his atrocious fitness levels. He has repaid the selectors by averaging 2.33 in 5 matches.

Our former Kaptaan is still the most disliked person in cricket. Reasons vary person to person.

Some hate the inauthenticity of his persona and some hate him because he is an Indian.

Arrogant, faux aggression/fake tough guy and just a straight up obnoxious clown.

Indians wouldn't stand him if he didn't play for them, I know Indians hated Ponting, but Kohli is a billion times worse.

It's nice to see he's mellowed down since his decline, would have been unbearable to keep on with the antics as a passenger/dead weight player.

During his earlier days, I thought Kohli would be the first one to get in the face of Pakistani players during the seldom encounters. But I was surprised to see Kohli being very nice and controlled against Pak team even though he has given us a phainty more often than not but he has never shown hostility towards our players.
I do think he likes to give it to Australians and probably English players.

The guy is a beloved figure among Pak Cricket fans.

I find Sunil Narine to be very unlikeable. He keeps saying selectors don't pick him for international cricket, but every time they do, he ends up saying he's unavailable. Yet he would go on and play every league in the world.

Brad Haddin was a definite villain on the field for majority of his career.

Ollie Robinson climbing up this leaderboard quickly.

+1

Always thought he was annoying but he has descended new depths this match.
He’s also pretty thick — sledging someone who’s just scored 140 odd against you

Hardik pandya for his arrogance
And for Pakistan dahani for his antics
And misbah for mohali

What arrogance, man? I don't think the man is arrogant. He behaves well on the field. The only time he made a fool out of himself is when he appeared on that show Coffee with Karan and spoke garbage.

He was also caught cheating in the first ashes test.

He just used spray to numb the pain in his fingers. He should have informed umpires before doing that though.
Can't be called cheating. That's harsh.

Cheating - hardly - this is the blister he had on his hand.

Considering alot of comments here are against the Afghans and Gurbaz in particular, its good to see them humbled at 59 all out.

Embarassig and deserved for this horribly unlikeable team.

Didnt watch the game but did they still have their false bravado when getting hammered?
