Who should be the next PCB Chairman?

Politicians should be kept away from PCB.

Sethi is a politician, pro PMLN and IK/PTI hater. Should be thrown into oblivion.

PCB's next boss should be elected democratically and shouldn't be related to any party etc etc.

My 2 cents.

Bring back Sharyar Khan to temporarily take charge and keep things running smoothly on the administrative side, while at the same time get a reasonably well educated and non-controversial cricketer like Misbah-ul-Haq to be the Director of Cricket , who can deal with all cricketing affairs. This would be similar to the kind of role ECB have given to Andrew Strauss.

That's what you need, a clear separation between administrative responsibilities of the board and cricket strategy and running of the game. What you don't want is a former cricketer without administrative background not knowing what to do, or a bureaucrat who wants to interfere in cricketing matters - just keep them separate.

Maybe that is the case, he is on the old side but one thing with SK is that he is a diplomat and as he has shown whenever he's been involved with Pakistan cricket as team manager touring India or ball tampering saga at The Oval many years ago or PCB chairman, the guy can get along with everyone , resolve conflict and brings a sense of calmness to proceedings. The last thing you want is someone who is confrontational and wants to be centre of attention at the PCB - we have all seen the damage that can do over the years. (trying to find the Ijaz Butt smiley :<@> )

Perhaps he should have used that amazing cricketing knowledge to not make us lose the 2011 semifinal by blocking away at everything.

Yes but that's hardly relevant to whether he should be a PCB chairman.

I read Ehsan Mani, who isn't a bad choice, but the guy must be close to 75 now. May be, he is good choice for leading Ad hoc committee for 6 months, leading to a proper election and smooth transition, but he shouldn't be Chairman for 3 to 6 years. PCB desperately needs to slash down age of it's executives - even people like Akram, Misbah, Waquar..... are almost into their 50s now, therefore if not now, when - this people can't come to function finally at Intekhab's age!!!!!! I believe, WY can be a fantastic Director cricket.

Eshan Mani is the final choice, he was there during oath ceremony. Imran Khan has repeatedly said in his previous interviews he wants Eshan Mani as a chairman.

Still conflicted about Sethi leaving. It's good that Imran is doing what he wants but Sethi was arguably the best Chairman we've had in the past 7-8 years
