Unpicked diamond players: Craig Overton, Lasith Malinga, Luke Wright, Alex Hales, Tymal Mills, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Smith, Samuel Badree, Ben Cutting, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb ur Rehman, Solomon Mire, Paul Stirling, Kemar Roach, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Lendl Simmons, Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, Sam Billings, Mark Wood, Tim Bresnan.

Some of them probably have availability issues... Leaving bowlers out of the poll as they really need a batsman.

Availability is the killer really. I suspect Multan would want a player for the whole tournament, maybe Luke Wright or Dwayne Smith are not bad options and would come to Pakistan. Mohammad Nabi, Lendl Simmons and Tillakaratne Dilshan would also be willing to come. Surprised Billings wasn't picked.

IMO, they should go with an English player purely for marketing ressons. Last year during the IPL, sky sports seemed to be more interested in Buttler and Stokes than the actual tournament.

Afghanistan vs Ireland: 3 T20Is, 5 ODIs and a Test from Feb 23 - Mar 21.

So yeah occupied for pretty much the whole PSL.

this is a phateechar list , why not reschedule the psl until after the world cup say september, when the choiciest players from south africa, england,new zealand etc are available?

If I recall, all their other international picks are batsmen except the Afghnai leggie Qais Ahmed. So they are over relying on all local attack. They should atleast have some international flavor in their bowling. So my vote is for Malinga or Thisara Perera if they are available.
