It was really unfortunate for Usman Shinwari to get injured again especially when he looked in good rythm. Hopefully he can recover soon.
Meanwhile who you guys think can replace him in the ODI squad of Pakistan and who do you think suitable in T20s?
Few guys which can be acceptable options for ODIs or can be tested in WI T20s are (Some pretty controversial names are here so apologies):
1) Mir Hamza. The guy has been brought up through proper system and has been playing for Pakistan A team for some time now. He is still 25 so good age for a fast bowler. He has good repeatable action and can seam and swing the ball from good length and can generate decent pace. He didnt play much in PSL but the way he bowled against Sangakara and beating his bat on an occasion or two shows a caliber of a bowler. He is already part of the test squad.
2) Amir Yamin even just as a bowler is a good contender. He can swing the new ball both ways and I think his pace has improved a bit recently. Yes he is not the best overs bowler but when you have Amir and Hassan to do the job he can finish his quota earlier.
His power hitting is one of the best in the current lot which is an addition. He is also a good fielder.
3) Sohail Khan. We all now what he is capable of with the new ball and is going as leading wicket taker in QEA trophy and is a handy lower order hitter. He can reverse swing the old ball and is very good at the death overs as well. Yes he does lack a bit on the fielding side.
4) Sadaf Hussain. The guy is at his peak as a fast bowler as he is 27 which is considered the peak age when the the bowler knows his game and his body. Guy definitely knows how to take wickets and with his height and swing he can definitely add another dimension to our bowling attack. I am not sure about how fit he is and how good a fielder he is.
5) Ahmed Bashir. Guy is young and talented and if he is that pacy and nippy many posters here make him out to be than he can definitely add that pace factor in our team.
6) Mohammad Asif. Yes some people might not like his name when we have a lot of other options but the guy still is a beast and he still plays with the minds of the batsmen as he has control over everything he wants to do. He doesnt have much to offer with the bat but he is an ok catcher in the field.
7) Umar Gul. He looks in good rhythm and is hitting good lengths. He is a good fielder and a good lower order hitter. If he is completely fit then he can definitely be a handful.
8) Ehsan Adil. I always find him capable of delivering some match winning spells. Many people wont agree but the way he generates bounce and seams the ball both ways if he is taken under the shadow of Arthur and Azhar with caiptaincy of Sarfaraz many people might be surprised what this guy can achieve.
Many more are there, these are just to name a few. Shaheen Shah and other few young bowlers like him were not considered by me above as I believe they should play some more matches including PSL to get promoted to national team but, you guys can name anyone you believe is good enough.
