Noob pace attack in eng series too
Yes India beat AUS at home in ODI series earlier too and AUS was the ATG team then. You having to go back a decade is a joke though
2017 home series 4-1They beat Aus in 1-2 matches they didn't win the series.
Even Pakistan's team in 2016 won 1 match and that team was one of the weakest we have ever had in ODIs

Australian Tri Series (CB Series) 2007/2008
2017 home series 4-1
I'm talking about a bilateral series between them two in aus
Talking about in SA mate
Agreed, these are the most likely teams. I expect a few surprises from WI though.India
England
New Zealand
Pakistan
Would like Eng vs Pak (SF) and Ind vs Aus (SF), with both India and Pak winning the semis and clashing in the Final.
Would be epic.
This is becoming harder and harder to predict. With these listless performances by NZ im not sure they can make it now. Pakistan seem to be finding the right combination of players and seem to be peaking at the right time. SA look clueless. Australia gave India a much tougher fight and with Smith,Warner and their best bowlers back they might do better than both SA and NZ.
Why not SA?
AFG scares BD fans a lot more than even Eng. BD have some sort of mental block against AFG.

I see a repeat of 92 final with Captaan Malik playing his last game![]()
Now it's the final stage - all the WC SF related discussion should be merged here.
I am putting my SF line-up
1. ENG - 4. NZL*
2. AUS - 3. IND
--------------------------
* This is the most open spot for many WCs - at least 4 teams, lead by NZL has a realistic chance; while both BD & SRL has outside chances. I think, only AFGs are probably out of the equation right now and change in their management won't help it either.

Jeez no mention of Pakistan.
Thought we were brothers![]()

Not even mentioned as outside chances. The thread on Bangladesh's chances really hurt him deeply.
How does BD have an outside chance? What are you basing this assessment on? Their past record in England or their pas record against top teams?
I feel Eng Ind are more likely to reach the sf as of now. Earlier everyone was convinced of aussies not being a significant force but their redemption in last 2 series would force teams to take them seriously. I feel this time around they are going to struggle to reach the sf and even if they do, will not reach the finals.
Nz also has a balanced squad and a good chance to reach the sf.
4th spot most likely would go to one from pak, sa or aus.
That is why Imran Khan wants Six teams in domestic circuit ( High Competition )For me AUS will be in SF comfortably and once they are there, whoever wins the Cup will need to beat the Aussies. In 21 Soccer WCs, Germany participated in 18 - and made QF in 17 of them, SF in 14; it's not because only they had the players. They were forced out of 1950 WC, so they came back in 1954 and won it!!! At highest level, more than players, what it needs is killer instincts, which Aussies have more than anyone, and on top of that they have the individuals as well.
On player to player comparison, Aussies are probably at per with IND & ENG, may be slightly behind Poms; but no team can make 2+2=5 like the Aussies and they are among the fittest teams around, mentally toughest and hungry team, never settles for an acceptable result. I was writing in 4th ODI, when Carey & Maxwell posted a fighting total from 140-5 - whichever Aussie player is under threat for his position, somehow find a way to perform; this is because of their ultra competitive, ruthless and uncompromising system which embeds a survival attitude in their players. Never, never underestimate Aussies in Cricket & Germany in Soccer.
Eng, nz, pak, ind.
England and India should plan to win 2 matches(SF and Final).
Easy semis for these 2 teams
Aus to be the third team.
SA/ NZ to be the 4th.
WI has an outside chance.
No chance for PAK, SL, BAN and AFG
Wi has an outside chance and pak has no chance.
Come on, be a bit more reasonable.

WI recently had a drawn ODI series against England. I'll give them a better chance than Pakistan who recently got humiliated in the Asia cup and lost 4-0 in England, 5-0 against Australia, and 5-0 in NZ.
