You cant read people's minds and come up with their reasons for voting. And while I respect Roberts point of view - neither can he.
He was strongly rejected by his own party for two reasons imo and neither of them were his race ( of course this is just my opinion too)
1. The financial scandals involving his Indian wife.
2. His policies weren't seen as truly conservative.
Now in the space of a few years we have went from a PM 'elected' by the people, to a PM elected by the Tory members, and finally a PM elected by a small band of MPs.
What's next? A small Tory politburo that makes decisions on behalf of us all.
It's a complete and utter shambles.
Don't need to read anyone's minds. It's out there for everyone to see.
