Yes, India deliberately lost by not completing a World Cup record chase against the favourites in 2019 and by deliberately losing against a high quality pace attack on the fastest , bounciest pitch in Australia
Bro can pak qualify to final do u think we still got a chance how about today game how do you see it will india beat sri lanka easily?

Easily. This was an off day where Murphy's law hit you with terrifying vengeance. Everything went right for India and our weaknesses were masked. Everything went wrong for Pakistan and weaknesses were exposed brutally. Asia Cup is a useless tournament and inconsequential, anyway.

PAK's focus should be the World Cup. It is only useful if they've learned something from this defeat. Pakistan should definitely make World Cup semis. Unless they have an absolute stinker with poor reactionary selections by Inzi and many players going out of form, there is no doubt that PAK will make semis this time.

Surprised by the pessimism on here. 1999 PAK side was much more flawed than this side.

I think it’s impossible to qualify for the 2003 AC finals

I could be wrong

Who would be the best bet for Pakistan in a match between India and SL ?

If India beat SL, then India qualify for the Finals which leaves Pakistan SL match as a virtual Semi Final.

If SL beat India ( India can still qualify by beating BD ) , they will be on 4 points and even if Pakistan beat SL both teams will be on equal points where NRR will come into equation. Now after India's big win over Pakistan, Pakistan may have to win the match against Sri Lanka and also do it convincingly to ensure they have a better NRR.

Can Pakistan be backed to perform against SL in SL in a pressure match ?
we always play well in pressure encounters. But the major Forces are
- Weather
- Toss
- Injuries
Will all matches complete? Win the toss elected to bat first will be the key as Ball always trouble under lights in Colombo But But But DLS ! Most of the times help Bowing first Third, Injuires. Will we have Naseem, Haris and Agha?

Best chance: Hope India wins today against SriLanka and Pakistan bests SriLanka; India v Bangladesh match result does not matter.

Good chance: Hope that today's India v SriLanka is washed out and Pakistan beat SriLanka; India v Bangladesh game result does not matter.

Slim chance: If SriLanka beats India today and Pakistan beats SriLanka then Pakistan's NRR is too low to qualify but Pakistan can qualify if Pakistan's NRR is above either SL or India if India beat Bangladesh, but if Bangladesh beat India then Pakistan's NRR does not matter and Pakistan will qualify.

Very Very Slim chance: If Pakistan v SriLanka is washed out then Pakistan can still qualify depending on NRR but Pakistan's NRR is too low, and it is unlikely to qualify since both India, SL,and BD will all have a much higher NRR than Pakistan.

No chance: If Pakistan lose to SriLanka, then no chance.

After the manner Pakistan was defeated vs India they don't deserve to play the final. Hopefully today SL wins so even if Pak won against them we would have a final of two best teams of the tournament i.e Ind vs SL

Dont focus on asia cup too much.

just hope that our flaws are exposed and rectified before the world cup.

Who is going to rectify these flaws? We don't have any spinner who can be effective, Imam is good but lacks 4th & 5th gear, Babar is a minnow basher, Fakhar is out of form, we have no middle order, our fast bowling is good but nothing great about them once team start attacking them they'll bowl like club level bowlers.

If we haven't rectified those flaws in 4 years we won't in 15 days.

In the WC Pakistan will most likely lose to Ind, Aus, Nz & Eng they might win one of these games because of luck but I have literally zero confidence that this team will make semis for the WC.

Nah that team had multiple WC players. Here at best I'd say Shaheen only. Babar has not proven himself v elite sides in big matches.

Pakistan, still the odds on favourites.

India most likely to lose tonight and miss out on the opportunity to play the finals.

Pakistan will crush Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with ease.

India have already booked their place in the final of this year's Asia Cup, but it remains to be seen just who will meet Rohit Sharma's side in the title decider.

India continued their unbeaten run at this year's tournament with an impressive 41-run victory over a gallant Sri Lanka on Tuesday and already know they will feature in the one-off final in Colombo on September 17.

We take a look at the four teams in the Super Four phase of the tournament and what matches remain that will shape who reaches the final.

India
Points: 4
Net run rate: 2.690
Matches remaining: Bangladesh (September 15)

The seven-time Asia Cup champions are on track for an eighth title in Sri Lanka this year and on current form it's easy to see why.

Skipper Rohit Sharma (194) has more runs than any other player at the event, while evergreen spinner Kuldeep Yadav is tied for the most wickets at the tournament with nine.

India will be hoping to remain unbeaten when they take on Bangladesh in their last Super Four match against Bangladesh on September 15 and are sure to keep a close eye on proceedings between Sri Lanka and Pakistan to see who they will face in the final.

Sri Lanka
Points: 2
Net run rate: - 0.200
Matches remaining: Pakistan (September 14)

While this campaign hasn't exactly gone to plan for Sri Lanka, the reigning Asia Cup champions are still well placed to defend their title if they can return to winning ways.

By virtue of a superior net run rate to Pakistan, Sri Lanka are well placed to reach this year's final and can earn a place in the decider by not tasting defeat in their final Super Four match against Babar Azam's side on September 14.

A win will have them qualify with ease, while a tie or no result will also see them progress as there is no reserve day scheduled for the final two Super Four matches.

Pakistan
Points: 2
Net run rate: - 1.892
Matches remaining: Sri Lanka (September 14)

The equation is simple for Pakistan. Win against Sri Lanka in Colombo on September 14 and they are through to the final against India. Conversely, any other result in that match will see them miss out.

That won't be an easy task for the two-time Asia Cup champions though, who are searching for their first title since 2012 and have some fresh injury concerns to a pair of key fast bowlers.

Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf picked up niggles during their 228-run loss to India, with selectors reacting quickly by calling up fellow quicks Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan for the remainder of the tournament.

Bangladesh
Points: 0
Net run rate: - 0.749
Matches remaining: India (September 15)

Sri Lanka's loss to India on Tuesday effectively knocked Bangladesh out of contention of reaching this year's Asia Cup final, but Shakib Al Hasan's men still have plenty to play for in their final match of the tournament.

Bangladesh have won just one match so far at the event and will be keen to returning to winning ways to obtain some confidence ahead of the start of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India next month.

India is clearly looking like the best team in the tournament and Sri Lanka's performance is improving with every game so both these teams at the moment are looking like to play in a close final.

You and brother @Mamoon called it. Not sure what happened this time. They should really have done better in this tournament and they looked much more settled than any other side coming in to this tournament
Now I quietly wait for Pakistan’s World Cup squad announcement

And I’ll tell you where they will finish

For sure Fakhar Zaman wont be selected into the squad. lets see who else remains out.
Wait patiently

This might well become a WWE emergency wrestlemania roster where Vince brings back all the big names to somehow save the business and take in the cash.

If I were Imad, Sarfaraz, Amir, Umar Akmal… I would let the world know that I am available for selection
