Now will be the time to express your concerns!

This may not be that easy for Pakistan.

Pakistan.

They just step up their game if the going gets tough versus minnows.

I can remember Kamran/Wahab helping us win against Ireland when we were 5 down for double digits.

Umar scoring 102 not out when we were in trouble against Afghan in 2014.

Fawad Alam and Tanvir rescuing us in 2008 versus Hong Kong in Asia Cup...

Malik playing a blinder versus Zimbabwe but we got screwed.

Afridi versus Canada in 2011.

Afridi versus Bangla in 2014.

Misbah and Wahab versus Zimbabwe in 2015 WC

Pakistan need to bat first
If Afghan bat and score 240 I would say game done . Pak will get under pressure and lose the plot

Afghanistan will win if they bat first and post 270+.
In all other scenarios Pakistan will win.
I say it's 75-25 to Pakistan.

***. Extreme reactions. Couple of days ago Pakistan is WC 2019 favorites and now it is tough with Afghanistan. Pakistan is better than how they have played on Wednesday and they would win easily against Afghanistan

Pakistan should win. Afghanistan haven’t faced a bowling attack like ours. Fakhar should bounce back.

I dont know who will win.

But I do know after a long time, I am excited about a genuine leg spinner in form of Rashid Khan and I havent seen a good one since the end of Warne.

He will create major problems for Pakistan tomorrow.

They will win but it won't be easy.

I don't think even this India team will have an easy match against Afghanistan.

I think the issue is with squad selection and team balance. The conditions seem to be favoring spinners and we are lacking in that department. Although, I am not sure who else we could have taken. Imad was dropped due to fitness and I think that is a decision that will bode well in the long run. Maybe Yasir should have been included in the squad to give another attacking option.

Plus Afghan spinners are very talented and the way Pakistan collapsed against Indian spinners, our batsmen might be under pressure and hesitate playing their natural game against Rashid and co. This will be a tough match and Pakistan will need to be at the top of their game to win this.

Pakistan due to better bowling. Although I will not be surprised if Afghanistan wins, they have learned how to choke bigger teams.

Afghanistan can play competitive games against team like BD, Zimb and Ireland but beyond that, not yet.

A few nerves in the Pakistan dressing room and amongst fans I reckon.

If Afghanistan can get 230 plus batting first, then anything is possible.

Pakistan does not have the better bowling attack compared to Afghanistan. Afghanistan are playing with 3 genuine spinners while our genius team management thinks 4 fast bowlers in the dry conditions is the way. Pakistan has the better batting line-up though.

If Afghanistan bat first, massive advantage to Afghanistan.

To add to the troubles, none of the fast bowlers is a tear away fast bowler who will get wickets with pace. Our fast bowlers are very good and will be lethal in conditions where ball swings or reverses, but in dust bowls of UAE, we need an extra spinner to support Shadab.

If Pakistan bat first:

Imam stumped by mujeeb in 1st over
Fakhar dropped after an attempted sweep of zadran - again in the first over
Fakhar will then go on to get his 50 and get out next ball
Babar will be LBW of Nabi for 36
Malik will be caught at deep mid wicket after scoring 60 odd
Sarfraz will be caught first ball at fine leg trying to sweep rashid
Asif to score 19 ball 50 before nicking one to the athletic Shahzad diving to his right!
We’ll end up with a score of 260ish

N.B (if selected) Shan will be bowled attempting to leave a ball that’s been pitch on middle and hitting the middle of middle stump

Afghanistan will fail to chase as the pressure will get to them.

If Pakistan bowls first:
Afghan openers with a solid 100 run partnership before shadab Khan takes a fifer to bowl Afghanistan out for less than 200.

Pakistan will make the chase difficult for themselves and will take the game into the last over where we lose the game.

Only way Afgan can win is to bat first, score 250 ish and take 2 quick pakistani wickets. They can't chase anything above 💯 against any decent bowling line up

Thanks to our grandpa brigade, the above scenario is quite a possibility in our match against Afg too.

People are worrying excessively, although Pakistan performed poorly in their previous match, they should play much better tomorrow, they will not be under as much pressure and their bowling is potent enough to restrict Afghanistan to a relatively low total (< 220) and chase it successfully, also, if Pakistan are batting first, it’s unlikely that they will collapse again as they did against India, anything above 240 should be easy for Pakistan to defend. A good performance from many Pakistani players is overdue and with the reality check they received yesterday, they are more than likely going to perform well.

This won't be easy. The Afghans spinners are dangerous "in these conditions" :bumble

Seems you're new here on PP? this is the norm.

It is going to be an easy ride for Pakistan. Afghan batting is too fragile and disciplined Pakistani bowling can easily cause a collapse tomorrow. The responses to this poll are just typical Pakistani/PP overreactions.

have very poor vibes about this match , just hope we win..won't be surprised if we lose,,these conditions are Taylor made for afghans bowling, even if it was in Dubai i wouldn't be so afraid, i think we may well lose this.

If Afghanistan have to chase I'm sure we will win if we score the runs . If we are chasing anything over 200 , expect a tense finish.

Wouldn't call Rashid a 'genuine leg-spinner'. He bowls the googly but his greatest strength is his accuracy

Some comrades seem to have no confidence in our team. Afghanistan winning is not impossible but we are a far better side than them and miles ahead in all three departments. Afghanistan have too genuinely world-class spinners but their batting is feeble and easily exploitable and their fast-bowlers are all medium pacers who posses no real threat.

If Pakistan make 260 you will win by atleast a 100 runs . Abu Dhabi is a bat first wicket and the ball swings in the second innings. Afghanistan can't chase 260 even in their dreams. Just not happening.

In knock out stages, minnows will show their true colors and the facade gets broken.

Pakistan will easily win.

Depends a lot on the toss I'd think. If Pak bats first, game is done n dusted for Afg. Things will get more even stevens if Afg gets to post a total, which if above 250, then 60-40 in Afg's favour imo.

I would say the same thing as was the case against India. If Afghanistan manages to not loose more than 1 wicket in the first 10 overs against Pakistan, then it would be advantage Afghanistan. My observation is that Afghani batsmen have decent techniques and can actually bat properly and build partnerships.
