Forget his batting, it's been awful. But his bowling, his results have been good.
Faheem with this test performance currently averages 26 in tests.
Averages 23 in ODIs and 19 in T20s.
These are world class numbers and if you just looked at these numbers and compare to the rest, he'd look easily like our best fast bowler across all formats.
People might put it down to minnow bashing but others played minnows too. And we can't even put it down to just a part timer stats, he's been bowling longer spells lately.
In this test vs SA, his wickets have been termed lucky yet he's picked up wickets yet again.
Is it just luck? Amir looks more skilled, but goes for long periods where he doesn't pick up big wicket hauls. On the other hand most term Faheem as just a decent bowler for an allrounder. Lots of performances where he's kept runs down, not got wickets, or been termed unlucky. And even Amir bowled against Zimbabwe in ODIs and struggled to get wickets.
There's a saying in cricket, the really good bowlers are the ones who pick up wickets with not just their good balls, but their bad balls as well.
So question to posters is it just luck? What is the exact reason Faheem is picking up wickets more frequently? And if it's not luck, then surely he'd deserve a place as a pure bowler in every format, does it matter how or why he takes wickets?
