Why is Asad Shafiq given the golden boy treatment in ODIs?

Safe to say I have never seen a more garbage/rubbish player in ODI's.

Sack him immediately!!!

Can't see how even his staunchest of fans can defend his inclusion in the ODI team. A player who's played 60 odd matches, batting no lower than number 4, with a SR of 67 and an average of 25. I would absolutely LOVE to ask Inzi to justify his inclusion face to face if I could. It is this mindset which has put us at number 8, rightfully. Selecting wrong players for the wrong formats.

From day one, I have been saying Asad is the worst ODI batsman along with Umar Amin to come out of Pakistan.

Imagine a player with Afridi's average but half his strike rate. Yes, I am talking about Asad Technique.

A disgraceful player in this format. The sad thing is that he has a decent technique but my God he has to be the most mentally weak player I've ever seen. It's written on his face. The guy looks scared and devoid of any confidence and that reflects in his game. Even in tests, he is very inconsistent. Inzi is a terrible selector just like all previous selectors.

it would be lot better to promote Imad Wasim to play @ shafiq's number and play nawaz ...just to fill the void..
inzi should be ashmed of the team selection he has done for this tour.. pathtatic... a mini-sumo umar-akmal who is getting worse n worse each day and no replacement for sarfraz... ... shameful to say the least.

Will take Fawwad over Asad any day in ODIs. Such a shame that both his average and strike rate are better than Asad's and still then, he has never gotten as many chances as Asad.
