Why is India not giving KL Rahul a consistent run?

Worst person to lead an Indian side ever after Azharuddin.

Kohli should be dropped as a punishment for his onbvios jealousy and bias against Rahul.

Rahul is not even 50% of Kohli.

You’re right but he’s 150-200% of Dinesh Karthik - a man who has been playing international cricket for 14-15 years yet has an average like some Zimbabwean or Bangladeshi journeyman.

Don't worry you are going to see DK in the test series against England too.

I am a Kohli fan but his treatment of KL is even making me as a Pakistan fan pull my hair out. Raina and Dhoni are past their best and KL still isn't playing.

They've dropped him again - for a bloke who does not even average 30 despite playing ODI cricket for 14 years. Meanwhile granpa Dhoni keeps his place.

Kohli comes across as a kid with his moves! Show a candy he will come at you with a smiley, show him a wounded finger he will run away getting scared! When will he mature? By now people should understand that he is not a captaincy material (or rather man power management) the more he remains as captain, the more damage it is to the team & the development of players (no matter how much runs he piles up as a player!)

Maybe this was why India was not giving him chances? KL Rahul's last 14 innings outside the sub-continent: 28, 10, 4, 0, 16, 4, 13, 8, 10, 23, 36, 19, 0, 37(latest)

He is motoring along at the moment in India's clash against Afghanistan.

He is kept as a backup for the opening spot it seems. Pretty much no chance he will get games except at the top IMO.

Dhawan
Rohit
Kohli
Rayudu
Dhoni
Jadhav/Karthik
Jadeja/Pandya
Bhuvi
Kuldeep
Chahal
Bumrah

This will be India's XI for WC I think.

I guess it's the way he gets out after being set. Shows carelessness.

KL Rahul should open. He almost played as an opener today with early exit of Rohit. Dhawan cannot do this. Rohit, Rahul, Kohli, Iyer will be a good solid top 4.

He should never have tried to bat in the middle order even if it meant that he got chance only in tests! He would have somehow pushed himself to compete with Rohit & Dhawan (at least Dhawan) and got chance somewhere down the line... (With performances in Tests, IPL & Domestic LOIs) Both management & himself messed up things!

In the quest of getting into Indian middle order (LOIs) Rahul lost his place even in tests and has become T20 specialist! What an irony!

Bcci has made it clear after rohit its going to be KL. To be sincere, I don't see india doing any good under KL. KL and dravid duo can't win anything for India. It's as simple as that.

KL as captain has to be one of the most retrograde steps by BCCI in recent times.

It’s like a government promotion, next in line please step up.

I firmly believe that to captain in international cricket you need a player with that X factor. They have to be inspirational, capable of playing out of their skin every now and then, and just lead by sheer example and force of personality

KLR is highly competent, skilled but is he anything of the above? I don’t see it.

Klrahul is the most useless player coming out of ind in a long time. Nobody has ever got backing like him inspite of his mediocre tuk tuk mental midget performances. And he being rewarded with captaincy is an absolute joke.. he has no place in Ind cricket and needs to be dumped asap. If he is the long term odi captain- then good luck ind - it will be one of the worst stretches of odi cricket for ind

His horrible form was one of the reason which kept him away from indian side but after his recent comeback he is looking more confident and solid now.
