Will be see any more cricketers scoring 10,000 runs in ODIs?

The number of ODIs teams play now have substantially reduced , to play 200 odis a player must play at least 15 years without missing any.

Pakistan have played 139 Odis in last 10 years. India have played most in last 10 years with 180 matches and only 80 in last 5. Players like Williamson ,root and babar will most likely miss out on scoring 10000 runs.

Chances of anyone making 10000 runs in ODIs from now on is very low. 10000 runs were made in ODIs when a bilateral ODI series had 5-7 matches. This is not the case any more because T20 internationals are firmly established. Now they play 5-7 T20 matches and 3 ODIs in an all format series.

After the odi wc 23, none of the teams have played odis more than 10 before the ct25.most of the teams started preparation by oct 24.There is a conscious decision to keep few odis during non tournament years and to play them only in wc year.I don't think odis will exist after 31 wc.Once olympics cricket takes off successfully then its all about t20s.A olympic gold for say india will drive sc teams to almost ignore odis . Pcb even had a fight with wi to scrap the odis.
