Will Haider Ali succeed as an ODI batsman?

Haider is very young still and he will get plenty of opportunities in the future besides today to play.

However, it is strange to me that he can't get in the side against a second-string South Africa team with our late order hitting being as poor as it has been.

Really disappointed that haider wasnt given the third game he should have played instead of sarfraz

Haider Ali can succeed in ODIs if he plays as an opener.

Don't convert a top-order player into a no.6 'hack' / hitter. We have already destroyed Umar Akmal by making him bat at 6 when he should have been in our top order.

in T20Is, he can bat at 4. Baristow, ODI opener, bats at 4 in T20 because he can hit spinners & can finish the game. Same case is with Haider Ali. Opener in ODIs in place of Imam & Finisher in T20Is.

I hope he could succeed in ODI's but so far I'm not impressed & I think he's going to be another Imran Nazir, an exciting player who will fail 8 out of 10 times.
