Both have made it to the semis. Every reason for them to rest their main players.

India only has 4 wins so far.
India's bench is actually stronger than their mains. (jadeja, pant, shami,dk) >>> (kuldeep, vijay, bhuvi, kedar)
To be honest, all these sides have too much pride in them to even contemplate anything like that.
Jadeja is definitely not better than Kuldeep as a bowler by any measure. And his batting is highly inconsistent in ODIs.Lol you’re probably right there.

We actually need to change things up because we have issues. It wouldn't make sense. Why disrupt momentum and a winning combination?

Munro cannot continue and if Latham isn't scoring he could be dropped too. Both have been passengers this WC.
Lockie should be given a rest for a game, we don't want him to get injured ahead of a possible Semi.
Group games will have effect on semi finals if tied or washout.. so, no team will risk to loose against England and give them an edge.
I think we can set it in stone.
Doesn't really matter who we face, the other 3 teams will more or less be on the same level. All about performing on the day. People call India favorites, but I'd rather face them as they're a better match up for us. England are strong on paper and have done well, but are prone to crumbling under pressure. Pakistan blow hot and cold. Ideally I want Aus in the Final to avenge 2015.But i see those changes made vs Pakistan. Nichols should be in for Munro. Wouldn't you try and finish top though and that means playing your best players?
Even though I'm not a fan of Jadeja, the ODI cricketer but he is anyday a better ODI cricketer than someone like Shankar.Including Indian back players, such as Pant and Jadeja in the playing XI will actually make the team stronger.

No real reason to risk injury for their top players so could well be the case. Of course, in India's case a nice little side-effect of excluding Pakistan from the semis also![]()

Jadaja is a dud in odis, a premium darter and batting-wise no better than a tailender. No way.
Kuldeep is a must.
Bhuvi and Shami are both equally good, if swinging conditions then Bhuvi.
Vijay and Jadhav on the other hand can be replaced by better players in the form of jadeja and pant.
