China will defend Pakistan’s sovereignty if threatened

President of the Center for China and Globalization Chinese Scholar Victor Gao has stated that China will defend Pakistan if its sovereignty or territorial integrity is threatened.

In an interview with a Chinese broadcaster, Gao emphasized the strength of Pakistan-China relations, calling them “as strong as iron” and reaffirming that both countries stand firmly by each other.

Expressing deep concern over rising tensions between Pakistan and India, Gao said the situation poses a serious global concern and that an immediate ceasefire is essential.

He urged both countries to exercise maximum restraint, implement an immediate ceasefire, and avoid any further conflict to maintain peace in the region.

lol, no it won’t be a big news in Indian media.
It would be .India is a democracy...parties won't want Modi to take all the credit...social media everyone has a camera...many people in India are anti BJP .things cannot be hidden

Secondly while our GODI media is just slightly better than pakmedia..our armed forces are very disciplined and accept losses as is evident from past and present situations...they are media shy..use boring statements and accept the facts even if they don't provide operational details

Without further ado...damage from the drones and missile strikes are very low thankfully

Pak social media handles unblocked in India months after Pahalgam attack

Several Pakistani YouTube channels and Instagram accounts of Pakistani actors and celebrities have now started to reappear in India, nearly a month after blocking them for spreading misinformation and criticising India’s Operation Sindoor.

The channels that were blocked included major news channels like Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News, Suno News, and The Pakistan Experience. Apart from these, the Centre also blocked several independent YouTube channels, including Wasay Habib, Arzoo Kazmi, Syed Muzammil Shah, cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, and journalists such as Irshad Bhatti, Asma Shirazi, Umar Cheema, and Muneeb Farooq. Instagram accounts of Hania Aamir, Mawrah Hocane, Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar, and others were also blocked for Indian users.

The decision to block YouTube channels came after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists.

The Instagram accounts of Mawrah Hocane, Abida Parveen, Yumna Zaidi, Ahad Raza Mir, and Danish Taimoor can now be viewed by Indian users. However, accounts of some actors such as Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Ali Zafar remain inaccessible. While there has been no official word from the government so far, speculations over the ban being lifted are now being raised.

Some of the YouTube channels that are now once again available in India include those of Shoaib Akhtar, Arzoo Kazmi, and Asma Shirazi. However, Wasay Habib’s channel is among those that are still blocked in India.

Quad alliance opts not to name Pakistan in Pahalgam attack condemnation

The strategic group "Quad" consisting of the United States, India, Japan and Australia chose not to name Pakistan in a joint statement condemning Pahalgam attack in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) that killed 26 tourists in April this year.

The April 22 attack sparked heavy fighting between nuclear-armed Pakistan and India in the latest escalation of a decades-old rivalry as India blamed it on Pakistan without offering any evidence.

Pakistan denied responsibility while calling for a neutral investigation into the deadly attack.

The US State Department issued a joint statement by the foreign ministers of the grouping, who met in Washington, but stopped short of naming Pakistan or blaming Islamabad.

The Quad unequivocally condemns all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross-border terrorism," the ministers said in the statement.

They called on all members of the United Nations to cooperate actively with "all relevant authorities" in delivering justice to the "perpetrators, organisers, and financiers of this reprehensible act", without any delay.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accused India of using the "unfortunate" terror attack in Pahalgam to destablise regional peace through "unprovoked and reckless" hostility towards the country.

Speaking at the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Summit in Azerbaijan, one of the nations that backed Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, Sharif again raised the Kashmir issue, condemning "barbaric acts" against innocent people in the Union Territory.

In the same breath, he also slammed the targeting of innocents in Gaza and Iran, in a veiled swipe at Israel.

"The unprovoked and reckless Indian hostility directed towards Pakistan after an unfortunate incident in Jammu and Kashmir was yet another attempt to destabilise regional peace," Sharif said.

On April 22, 25 tourists and a local were killed in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley - in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Kashmir in recent years. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Holding Pakistan responsible for sheltering the terrorists, India launched Operation Sindoor days later, destroying nine terror camps deep inside the country.

It sparked widespread hostilities as Pakistan launched a wave of drone attacks, with India effectively countering it. The conflict ended on May 10 after Pakistan reached out to India for a ceasefire following massive strikes on its military bases.

Sharif also denounced Israel's recent airstrikes against Iran, calling them "acts of aggression".

Israel launched 'Operation Rising Lion' in June to neutralise Iran's nuclear program - which it sees as an existential threat - before agreeing to a truce 12 days later. Over 600 people died during the conflict in Iran.

"Pakistan stands firmly against those who perpetrate barbaric acts against innocent people anywhere in the world, whether in Gaza, Kashmir, or Iran," he said.

FO says Pakistan has ‘dismantled’ terrorist outfits amid US designation of group blamed for Pahalgam attack

The Foreign Office (FO) on Friday reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance against terrorism, saying that the country has “effectively and comprehensively dismantled” terrorist outfits.

The statement follows the US State Department’s decision on Thursday to designate a little-known group called The Resistance Front (TRF) — responsible for the Pahalgam attack — as a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO) and specially designated global terrorist (SDGT) group.

The April 22 attack — which resulted in the deaths of 26 people — sparked a military confrontation between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan as New Delhi blamed it on Islamabad, which strongly denied the allegations while calling for a neutral investigation.

According to a BBC News report in June, the group had initially said it was behind the attack, but later disowned it.

The US State Department claimed that the little-known group was a “front and proxy” of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

“TRF has also claimed responsibility for several attacks against Indian security forces, including most recently in 2024,” the State Department said in a statement.

In a statement today, the FO said, “Any linkage with LeT, a defunct organisation banned in Pakistan, belies ground realities.

“Pakistan has effectively and comprehensively dismantled concerned outfits, arrested and prosecuted the leadership, and deradicalised its cadres,” it added.

“Pakistan condemns terrorism in all forms and manifestations; zero tolerance, and international cooperation against terrorism are cornerstones of our policy.”

The FO highlighted Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts, including the apprehension of Mohammad Sharifullah, who was the “mastermind” of the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing at Kabul airport.

The statement further said that the investigations into the Pahalgam incident were “still inconclusive”.

“While the issue under consideration pertains to US domestic laws, India has a track record of exploiting such designations to push anti-Pakistan propaganda with a view to divert international attention from its irresponsible and rogue behaviour, including ongoing human rights atrocities, especially in occupied Kashmir,” it added.

The FO’s statement also urged the international community to “adopt objective and non-discriminatory policies” to address terrorism.

“Terrorist organisations like Majeed Brigade must also be listed as [an] alias of BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army),” the FO asserted.

In 2022, an anti-terrorism court awarded a combined sentence of 33 years imprisonment to LeT chief Hafiz Saeed in two cases of terror financing registered by the Counter Terrorism Department.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a global money laundering and terrorism financing watchdog, in 2022 removed Pakistan from a list of countries under “increased monitoring”, also known as the “grey list”, after four years.

“It has two concurrent action plans. After a lot of work by Pakistani authorities, they have largely addressed all of the action plan items,” then-FATF president Raja Kumar said.

Correction.

It was Sanatanis who dismantled and obliterated the terror groups through the effective use of Rafales which marked down these terror hide outs near border areas.

Pakistani army did not cooperate in that rather they were the ones protecting the terrorists.

So let’s be clear.

Pakistan army was rather furious when we did that and had fired toy drones towards us in retaliation which we brought down with ease and were forced to retaliate with Brahmos strikes which destroyed Pakistani air bases within minutes leading to the request to US by Pakistan for ceasefire.

What was the point of blocking their accounts? They had no connection to the Pahalgam attack.

By your logic, even the US should ban Indians from entering the country, after all, someone from India was caught shoplifting from a big store. People like you scream about not generalizing an entire nation over such incidents, yet you do the same to others without a second thought. Hypocrisy at its finest. :inti

Is terrorism emanating from Pakistan a systemic problem? Are Indians stealing in USA a systemic problem..thankfully not. If it is then Indians should get banned. H1bs taking jobs is a systemic issue and hence there is lot of backlash. It is not generalizing at all because Indian govt is not calling those you tube handlers terrorists...it's pressurizing a nation to mend it's way..when there is less national pressure on getting Kashmir and more on livelihood and prosperity...the military will be hard pressed to sponsor terrorism as a state tool.
