"Will show Modi government how to treat minorities": says Imran Khan

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">India who maligns Pakistan as an unsafe place for minorities & instigates sectarian clashes in our land, itself faces humiliation as Amnesty International India reports harassment from Modi govt. When Imran Khan has said this I hoped he would make it true and have to work hard for making it true.

But things have gone down the toilet to such an extent in India that it’s not really a cause to celebrate at this point.

Forget religious minorities, even Dalit Hindus don’t have it safe there

Will Khan do anything to change ridiculous laws like this?

If someone wants to use a Koran etc in a church, mandir, gurdwara, Ahmadiyya mosque etc why should they not be allowed to do so no matter how ridiculous you think someone’s beliefs are?

As harsh as it sounds, Imran khan has bigger things to worry about at the moment. Believe it or not, being able to reform the constitutional and legal provisions is a luxury. Can't do it on an empty stomach.

Immy is a coward! He lacks spine to speak uo against religious persecution in Pakistan. He is only good for harping on about the treatment of Muslims in India. Number one hypocrite!

No he won't while Pakistan equates itself as an Islamic nation.

Isn’t this Islamaphobia?

I do wonder on what basis that Pakistan decided to outlaw Ahmadiyya version of Islam? Even if as per the article source in that tweet, the prosecution is arguing that Ahmadis are falsely impersonating symbols and structures of Islam in order to deceive the Muslims, how would you know the difference?

As far as I know there's not that much in their scriptures which is drastically different, other than the stuff about Mirza Ghulam Ahmed, and his followers deny that his teachings superceded the prophet PBUH.

Is that true ? There should not be any issue if that is the case. Perhaps [MENTION=48598]saeedhk[/MENTION] can shed some light.

I don't think he's ever identified himself with any minority group, although sectarian topics are definitely his forte.

Imran has the time to pen a two page letter to oppose western Islamophobia (Chinese Islamophobia is halal) but doesn’t have the courage to make a single tweet for this Christian girl.

Disgusting.

This is disgusting!

Reality is, none of our countries can act holier than thou with regards to treating our minorities.

Pakistan still remains the most hostile country to the minorities. Only in Pakistan would a person be jailed because of reading Quran. How ironic that a country worried about Islamophobia in the west dosent even care about its own non sunni citizens.

An unbelievable crime and the associated skulduggery to legitimize it. Pakistan seriously needs to invest in education with a focus on moral science in rural areas. I hope they are moving towards it.

I was about to post this. An affidavit was submitted by the 13 year old girl in court saying that she converted to Islam and married the 44 year old man on her own will. The court then allowed the husband to live with the 13 year old wife.

How come this marriage was not annulled? The bride is a minor. And, how come IK has never, not even a single time, spoken against the persecution of Hindus, Ahmedis and Christians? This hypocrite is quick to write letters asking others to respect Islam but his own countrymen do not respect other religions nor does he.

Pakistan is a hell for minorities.

Painful to watch! IK needs to tackle these issues on ground first!!

Shameful. Where is the SC? Why are they not taking suo moto against this? If Karachi High Court upheld the decision, they are essentially upholding rape because the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act 2014 prohibits the marriage of any child under the age of eighteen years old. And sorry but you can't fool anyone by telling someone that a 13 year old is 18 years old through fake papers. KHC is completely culpable in this and if those on the high positions of state have any shame they should take immediate action against this.

Three granted bail in girl’s abduction case

A sessions’ court on Thursday granted post-arrest bail to three suspects detained for allegedly abducting a teenage Christian girl, Arzoo, who is said to have converted to Islam.

Police claimed to have booked her husband Syed Ali Azhar and detained his two brothers — Syed Shariq Ali and Syed Mohsin Ali — along with his friend Danish over their alleged involvement in the abduction of 13-year-old Arzoo on Oct 13. All the three men are said to be police officials.

The incident of alleged abduction of Arzoo has sparked protests from human rights groups against her purported forced conversion and underage marriage with a Muslim man.

On Thursday, three detained suspects moved applications before additional district and sessions’ judge (South) Faiza Khalil seeking grant of post-arrest bail to them.

Their defence counsel Hidayat Ali Leghari contended that an application was filed with the judicial magistrate concerned for recording statement of the girl Arzoo under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). However, the same could not be done.

He further contended that later the girl purportedly recorded her statement before the Sindh High Court, wherein she stated that she had embraced Islam out of her free choice and had solemnised free-will marriage with Syed Azhar Ali without any fear or pressure.

The counsel informed that in view of the purported statement of the girl the SHC had purportedly restrained the police from arresting her husband Syed Azhar Ali and his family members. Therefore, he asked the court to grant post-arrest bail to applicants Syed Shariq Ali, Syed Mohsin Ali, who are brothers of Syed Ali Azhar, and Danish, who are all policemen.

After hearing arguments from the state prosecutor and the defence counsel, the judge granted post-arrest bail to applicants Syed Shariq Ali, Syed Mohsin Ali and Danish, who is said to be posted at the Frere police station against a surety of Rs50,000 each. The court directed the applicants to cooperate with the police during the investigation of the case.

The counsel for the complainant was reportedly called absent during the hearing on the bail application.

According to the contents of the FIR, complainant Raja said that he was doing private job. He stated that on Oct 13, he and his wife went to work while their son Shahbaz went to school. The complainant further stated that his three daughters — Sonia, Mehwish and Arzoo — were present at home in the Railway Colony, when he received a call from a relative Jameel, who told that his daughter Arzoo was missing from the house.

Raja said he reached home and contacted the neighbours, but could not trace his daughter.

Therefore, he lodged a case regarding abduction of his daughter against unknown persons at the Frere police station.

That’s insane

India and Pakistan arguing over who treats minorities better is like Donald Trump and Boris Johnson arguing over who has the better hair - even if you win the debate you are still a loser with nothing to be proud of. When it comes to the human rights of minorities we should be aspiring to be like Sweden, Denmark, Canada, New Zealand etc. Instead we just try to outdo each other - talk about having low standards.

India is not even close to Pakistan. Your friends the RSS are in government and you must be blind if you think they care about minorites, Christians and Muslims are terrifed from their OWN government. No other nation has this issue.

Its lame trying to defend India with dafts posts as you do.

Why Child Marriage Restraint Act cannot protect Non-Muslims girls

“This is act will apply to Non-Muslims if both [boy and girl] are Non-Muslims – and, if girl is Non-Muslim and boy is Muslim, authorities will not implement the act, accordingly.” Because, Islam does allow conversion – including – marriage of minor, said Amar Nath, advocate.

Non-Muslims are not equal citizens – therefore – these kinds of laws do not apply to them.

Can somebody tell Immy that yesterday, a Hindu village was raided in Sindh and Hindu houses were burned down my momins.

What about France Macron India Modi?

Imran and Pakistanis in general are so brainwashed that they think Pakistan treats its minorities very well.

Pakistan is a hell for minorities. No second opinion about it. Every day, at least two Hindu/minority girls are forcibly converted to Islam after being kidnapped. Right now, Arzoo’s forced conversion has garnered quite a bit of outrage in Pakistan. She is 13 who was kidnapped, converted to Islam and then married off to a 44 year old man.

There is a hearing regarding Arzoo’s case in a Karachi court on Monday.

Yes! But, still, Pakistanis are unconcerned about this. They are fixated to Indian Muslims and Muslims in faraway lands.

This is a good approach. The enemy must be exposed all the time, and your own reforms should be discussed privately, not in front of the enemy as they will use it to put your nation down.

The UN, the EU, Amnesty and a range of other NGOs disagree but of course you know better than them. The ugly truth is that Pakistan and India have a lot more in common than their cheerleaders like to admit.

Dont make stories to defend your beloved India, show the proof Mr Singh.

Classic whataboutery...

What do you expect, it's India vs Pakistan.

Perhaps a good gauge would be to discuss a neutral minority and the country where they would have it better. For example, are Christians happier in India or Pakistan as minorities?

I was part of a religious minority in India.

While India has been going downhill, it is still much much better than Pakistan. Maybe its because the Hindu majority lacks the "spine" that some Pakistani Muslims possess and flaunt about but I know which country I would feel safer in.

Showing you the mirror. Pakistanis point fingers at India while their own minorities are running to India.

Have I ever said Pakistan’s minorities are having a great time of their lives? Just became something is happening wrongly in your country then that doesn’t mean you can’t talk about other countries which have similar issue. Because if you go by that logic there’s literally not many things in the world that indians (or Pakistanis even for that matter before you jump on me) will be able to talk about.

Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari on Monday said that the Sindh High Court (SHC) had ordered that Arzoo — a teenage Christian girl who was allegedly abducted before being forcefully converted and married to a Muslim man — be recovered by police and shifted to a shelter home.

"The judge has ordered the girl be recovered by police and relevant agencies and shifted to a shelter home. Next hearing fixed for Thursday morning [November 5]. My lawyer has informed the court that an intervener will be filed on my behalf," she said on Twitter.

Activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir — who is part of the legal team fighting the case on behalf of Arzoo's parents — also confirmed the development, adding that the SHC had directed that the girl be produced before the court at the next hearing. Speaking to Dawn.com, he said the court in the meantime has ordered that a medical test be conducted to determine the girl's age.

The court noted that issues to be addressed are the girl's age, whether she was forcibly converted and if her marriage is legal, he said.

"I trust the Sindh government and the police would use all resources at their disposal" to recover Arzoo, he said.

"To save our children, the government, judiciary, lawyers, civil society and the media should all be on the same page. We all need to play our respective roles effectively," he said.

"Glad both the Sindh government and the federal government want to pursue #JusticeForArzoo. There is a lot to learn from the injustices committed in this case first by the accused and then by our governance system. With both governments on board hope this case will become ground for renewed focus on child rights," he added.

Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab added that the court had issued the directives on an application filed by the provincial government.

ARTICLE CONTINUES AFTER AD

The alleged abduction of 13-year-old Arzoo last month had sparked protests from human rights groups against her purported forced conversion and underage marriage with a Muslim man.

According to the first information report of the case registered on his complaint, Arzoo's father Raja stated that on October 13, he and his wife went to work while their son Shahbaz had gone to school. The complainant said his three daughters, including Arzoo, were present at their home in Railway Colony when he received a call from a relative, who told him that Arzoo was missing from the house.

Raja said he reached home and contacted their neighbours, but could not trace his daughter. He subsequently lodged a case regarding the abduction of his daughter against unknown persons at the Frere police station.

Arzoo's family members earlier this month told Dawn that her purported husband Azhar lived in a house opposite theirs along with his family and he was at least 45-years-old. "The rascal who abducted her has prepared fake papers to show that she is 18-years-old,” her mother said.

Police had booked Syed Ali Azhar, the girl's alleged husband, and arrested his brothers, Syed Shariq Ali, Syed Mohsin Ali, and a friend, Danish, for allegedly abducting the underage girl, purportedly forcibly converting her and marrying her to a Muslim man.

On Saturday, a judicial magistrate had dismissed an application filed by Arzoo's family pleading to send her to a shelter home. Arzoo's father had filed an application under Rule 5 of the Child Marriages Restraint Rules read with Rules 8, 9 and 10 of the Child Marriages Restrain Act, 2013 and Section 100 of the criminal procedure code.

Nasir had argued that girl was 13, therefore, the provisions of the Sindh Child Marriages Restrain Act had also been incorporated in the matter by the investigating agency.

He had argued that the relevant documents concerning the victim's age had already been provided by the complainant to the investigating officer and the same were showing her age as 13 years.

Nasir had contended that further stay of the victim with suspect Azhar would amount to an offence punishable under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 375(v) (rape: with or without her consent when she is under sixteen years of age).

He had said that the complainant was not even asking for the custody of the victim, as he had no objection sending her to a shelter home for DNA testing and other requirements for the investigation.

The investigating officer in the case, Inspector Shariq Ahmed Siddiqui, had stated that the victim had appeared before the SHC and was sent under the protection of the SHO of the Preedy police station in compliance with the court's Oct 27 order.

He said he had called in verification of the victim's B-form, which as per the National Database and Registration Authority, was genuine.

Muslims rescue Hindu community from angry mob in Karachi

An eerie silence surrounded Seetal Das Compound in Karachi’s old city area on Tuesday.

Home to around 300 Hindu families and 30 Muslim families, the locality opposite Spencer Eye Hospital was in the grip of fear – there were hushed whispers of a pandemonium having been passed but the uncertainty and fright lingered.

A mob had attempted to attack the century-old neighbourhood on Sunday evening. Had it not been for the timely action by the police and residents mustering up the courage to stand resilient in the way of the attackers, worse could have happened.

The Hindu residents of the compound shuddered at the thought.

Reliving the nightmare, eyewitnesses narrated to The Express Tribune that scores of men had assembled outside the compound’s only gate at around 9pm. Many of them believed the mob intended to attack the Hindu families. But Muslim families, residing in and around the compound, were quick to reach the gate and stop the mob from entering, they added.

“Police, too, reached the spot within a few minutes after they were informed,” said a Hindu man, who requested anonymity. Another Hindu man, younger than him and also requested anonymity, said, “Some of the angry men had managed to reach the temple [inside the compound] and tried to vandalise it.”

According to him, they wanted to attack the compound’s Hindu families, but the police foiled their attempt. However, others added, that three pre-partition idols were destroyed during the episode.

“I never felt that fearful,” said a teary-eyed resident, while sharing his worst fears in shaky voice. “Majority of the residents are still scared and do not want to go to work,” said another Hindu man. “This fear won’t subside easily.”

Around him other Hindu families remained busy repairing the damaged temple.

Example of religious harmony

One of the Hindu residents of the compound was all praise for the compound’s Muslim residents, whom he said, “asked the mob not to attack any Hindu family and stood in the face of danger like a wall.”

Confirming this, a senior police official said, “Had it not been for the Muslim families’ support, it would have been very difficult to thwart the attack.”

An elderly man also credited SHO Abdul Majid for saving his community and neighbours from the mob. “He stayed outside the [compound’s] gate for the next 24 hours [following the attempted attack] without any break. Majid Sahib would only ask for tea and remained alert, all the while assuring us of that the danger had passed,” he expressed gratitude to the police official.

“To us, he was sent as a saviour by Bhagwan,” he said with conviction, adding everyone in his family, from old to young, was praying for the SHO’s good health.

Policemen, in over a dozen mobiles, remained deployed in the area along with the SHO to provide safety to the compound’s residents.

According to one of the policemen, who was deployed in the area on Tuesday, the mob wanted the arrest of a man, who is nominated in an FIR. He was handed over to the police and sent to jail on Monday, the policeman said.

When approached, SHO Majid confirmed the arrest and assured that there was no fear of any attack now. He said the policemen had been deployed at all three temples located in the jurisdiction of his police station and the situation was under control.

Holding on to hope

However, the assurance, it seemed, did little to remove fear from the minds of most residents. Hence, over 60 Hindu families had shifted to other areas of the city by Tuesday. “The fear still lingers and the people have left their homes and shifted females and children to locations they deem safe,” a resident told The Express Tribune.

Yet, the presence of police had instilled confidence in some families, who had moved to Baghdadi Colony and Moosa Lane, to return to their homes. A man welcoming one of the returning families at the compound’s gate later opined, “Yes, it is safe to return now. Police are here.”

The life seems to be coming back to normal, but the residents are still wary of getting an FIR of the incident registered. “It will not lead to anything,” said an elderly man, who said he had been living in the compound all his life and had never witnessed an attack of the sort as the one of Sunday.

He believes: “It is the situation in India that is resulting in such a situation in Pakistan.” However, he added, majority of the population was not causing any harm, except for a few miscreants, “who want to exploit the situation.”

Nothing extraordinary. There are multiple instance of same happening in india . There is harmony majorly and only the bad ones are reported

Fact is india and Pakistan both have a problem when it comes to minority rights, and it helps if ordinary citizens start accepting it rather than trying to justify with one off cases

Islamabad on Friday rejected the "gratuitous remarks" by the spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding the state of minorities in Pakistan and baseless allegations regarding terrorism.

"As a perpetrator of unabated state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and systemic state-sponsored discrimination against its own minorities, India is in no position to pontificate on the issue of terrorism or minority rights elsewhere," said FO spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudri in a statement.

The statement comes after India had called the killing of an elderly Ahmadi man in Peshawar earlier this week a “sad reflection of the state of minorities in Pakistan".

“One after another, Ahmadis are being targeted in Peshawar while the government has repeatedly failed to protect and stop the violence against the members of the community,” the Indian spokesman said, according to The Wire.

"Regurgitation of fabricated accusations by India does not turn a falsehood into truth," the FO spokesman said in the statement issued today.

"Such desperate attempts will not succeed in diverting attention from India’s domestic and foreign policy failures. If anything, these will further undermine India’s credibility as a responsible country.

"India must eschew the use of state terrorism as an instrument of state policy, end its egregious violations of human rights of the Kashmiri people, resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute according to UN Security Council resolutions, and take concrete steps to safeguard minorities, including their right to life and protection of their places of worship," Chaudhri said.

Indian Government using judiciary to persecute minorities, deny justice: Human rights activists

Various victims of persecution of the Indian government and global human rights activists on Wednesday declared that Indian judiciary has allowed itself to become an instrument in the hands of the Narendra Modi government to oppress minorities and deny them justice. While speaking at a panel discussion on “Indian Judiciary: Complicit in Religious Persecution,” they said the starkest representation of judiciary’s decline could be seen in its failure to perform as a counter-majoritarian court.

Abdul Wahid Shaikh was in the prime of his youth at the age of 28 when the Police falsely implicated him along with 12 others in the 7/11 Mumbai train bomb blast case. He was acquitted by the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act court nine years later as the police failed to prove him guilty of the charges levelled on him. During the panel discussion, Wahid, now 42, shared his experiences from those horrifying nine years and disappointing role of judiciary as he witnessed.

“Muslim in India face the harsh brutality of the police administration in one hand and the biased approach of the courts on the other. It seems being a Muslim in India in itself has become a crime,” said Wahid who wrote a book titled Begunah Qaidi (Innocent Prisoner) documenting his experiences of nine years in prison.

Mr. Wahid said that during every court hearing he and other accused used to complain about police torture but they fell on deaf ears. “We were assured that we would be able to prove our innocence in the courts of law. But the judiciary acted like a stooge of the administration with almost no concern for truth and justice.”

He highlighted the hypocrisy and double standard of the Indian judicial system in granting bail to Pragya Thakur, an accused in serious terror charges, while denying bail to many Muslims who were accused in anti-CAA protest cases.

Mr. Wahid explained that human rights violations of religious minorities underway in India, cover a broad spectrum, from illegal detention, torture and fake encounter killings of detainees, to open assault against individuals, their sources of livelihood and in many cases their places of worship.

“All the special laws which have been enacted over the years, have become instruments in the hands of police to falsely implicate Muslim youth and keep them behind bars for years without any hearing,” Mr. Wahid concluded.

Akashi Bhatt who is the daughter of whistleblower Sanjiv Bhatt, spoke in detail how her father was jailed by the Hindu nationalist BJP government in Gujarat under bogus charges. Mr. Bhatt is the former Indian Police Service officer of the Gujarat cadre who filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court of India against the then chief minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi about his alleged role in the 2002 anti-Muslim Gujarat pogrom.

“My father was the only police officer who deposed before the commission investigating the Gujarat riots. After Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, my father was dismissed from service on frivolous ground,” Ms. Bhatt said, highlighting that her father is the only man who can link Indian Prime Minister Modi to 2002 Gujarat pogrom.”

She said her family wants “a fair trial and that’s all we have been pleading for.” “As many as thirty three people who had nothing to do with my father’s case were called as witnesses. But we were not allowed to call any single defense witness and it was time to defend the defenders.” added Ms. Bhatt.

Avani Bansal, advocate Supreme Court of India, told the audience that the challenge before the Indian judiciary was that “there seems to be a lack of predictability, uniformity and procedure being followed in the way it is supposed to be followed.”

“At least the perception is that the same judges are not uniformly applying the rules. That means that the old adage of the justice system that justice should not only be done but should also be seen to be done, has been terribly shaken. And that is bad news,” she said while giving real time examples of how the Supreme Court adopted different methods and its lack of action invoked criticism from people.

Ms. Bansal gave instance of the Apex court allowing a Hindu religious gathering at Jagannath temple at the peak of pandemic despite nationwide furore over Tablighi Jamaat gathering at the beginning of the pandemic. Similarly, she mentioned exceptional use of review petition by the Apex Court to review its own verdict on Sabrimala case which had questioned prohibition of menstruating women’s entry in Sabrimala temple.

She mentioned how no FIRs were registered against BJP leaders like Kapil Mishra and Anurag Thakur who delivered inflammatory speeches in the run up to the anti-Muslim pogrom in Delhi in February. But 3500 people, mostly from the Muslim community, were booked in false and fabricated cases. “A lot of criticism the Apex court invited, is due to lack of action or very slow action which practically amounts to no action.”

Matias Perttula, the director of advocacy at International Christian Concern, expressed his concern over increasing cases of persecution against Christians under the Narendra Modi government.

“India has become a trouble spot for Christians after Narendra Modi took power in 2014. Christians are regularly marginalized and discriminated against, and their churches and property attacked. Anti blasphemy laws and anti-conversion laws are being used to target Christians,” he said.

Sukhman Dhami, Director Ensaaf, talked about human rights violations that included custodial killings and enforced disappearances, in the Indian state of Punjab. “India has been plagued by mass atrocities. From Punjab to Kashmir to Assam, there are many stories of atrocities. The response of the judiciary most of the time has been to overlook these atrocities.”

The discussion was organized by the Indian American Muslim Council, in collaboration with Hindus for Human Rights, Students Against Hindutva Ideology, Dalit Solidarity Forum, India Civil Watch International and International Christian Concern.

Imran Khan has at least made a public commitment to improving treatment of minorities, that should be applauded. Maybe Modi should do the same and then we could have one-upmanship of the best kind.

Imran will soon write a letter to the EU to tell them to respect Islam and Muslims.

Imran will soon write a letter to the EU to tell them to respect Islam and Muslims.

Actually he has already done this following the broadcasting of abuse of the Prophet PBUH on govt buildings in France.

This is a good thing as it shows Imran Khan doesn't restrict himself to propaganda battles with India, a neutral observer could only conclude that his battle to raise the plight of minorities is both sincere and without prejudice.

Shameful scenes In KP. Needs to be punished

KARAK, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: An angry mob on Wednesday attacked and set ablaze the shrine of a Hindu saint in the Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police officials, as soon as the incident was reported, police personnel reached the site and dispersed the mob.

As reported by Dawn.com, a mob comprising "more than a thousand people", led by local elders of a religious party, launched the attack to remove the temple.

Video clips going viral on social media show hordes of people breaking and desecrating the site while chanting slogans. Smoke could also be seen emitting from the shrine after it was reportedly set on fire.

Following the incident, the District Police Officer of Karak told DawnNewsTV that area residents had called for a protest, guaranteeing it would be peaceful, but a local cleric instigated the crowd to resort to violence.

Area residents, according to the DPO, reported that the shrine was being "secretly expanded" which angered them.

Govt condemns the attack
Upon hearing the news, the Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari took to Twitter and "strongly condemned" the attack.

"Strongly condemn the burning of a Hindu temple by a mob in Karak Khyber Pukhtunkhwa," she stated.

"[The] KP govt must ensure culprits [are] brought to justice. MOHR also moving on this. We, as a govt, have a responsibility to ensure [the] safety & security of all our citizens & their places of worship," the minister wrote.

Actual number is higher. Most cases are unreported because ,usually, such girls belongs to low socio-economic backgrounds which means they do not have the means to file an effective complaint given widespread corruption in Pakistan police.

It's very hard for people belonging to poor socio-economic background to seek justice in India too but media plays an important role in highlighting their issues, earlier pakistan media used to report news about mistreatment of minorities frequently.

India under bjp government is in position to question human rights violence against minorities happening elsewhere but accusing india for enacting discriminatory laws which you already have is balant hypocrisy.

How do you judge hypocrisy? Pakistan's laws are based around their religious faith which is enshrined in the constitution. Minority rights of law abiding minorities will always be guaranteed by the state as long as Islam is the basis on which the foundations are built alhamdullillah.

On the same breath, one can argue that India is not formed on religious identity. In India, Parliament is supreme. So I am not sure why so much of heart burn on something passed by Indian Parliament.

Didn’t Imran backtrack about the appointment of an Economic Advisor very early in his his tenure?

That’s really showing Modi !
