I didn’t follow much of the Women’s ODI World Cup, but seeing India lift the trophy again reminds you how strong and supportive the cricketing culture is in that country. Indian cricketers genuinely help each other grow and improve, and that shows in their success.
Leaving aside their unnecessary and politically driven stance towards Pakistan, which really has no place in cricket, India deserves full credit for building a system where merit and hard work are valued above all else. Even when politics or favouritism tries to sneak in, it rarely lasts long because most of their current and former players simply don’t tolerate nonsense. They back those who perform, stay disciplined, and represent India with pride.
Sure, they might benefit from scheduling advantages here and there, but that’s not why they’re winning tournaments. They’re winning because they’re a solid, professional side built on a zero-tolerance approach to anything that harms team unity. In India, no player is bigger than the team and that’s what makes them so consistent.
Congratulations to India on winning the Women’s ODI World Cup, a great achievement and well-deserved success. All the best for future tournaments. India continues to be a cricketing force moving forward with a culture that now rivals even Australia’s.
