Anyone seen http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1675434/ The Intouchables?
I watched Valhalla Rising recently. The worst movie I've seen in 2013 and the best at the same time...

Name 3 best world cinema movies of last decade , after a cursory look may I say that these 3 are the best of them
City of God
The secret in their eyes
Old Boy
????
I saw the Devil as well. Not an original story but very harrowing and blurs the line between hero and villain. Brilliant execution. Stars the protagonist from Oldboy as the one of the most depraved human beings ever.
LOL ... Serbuan maut is "The Raid Redemption (English re-release)".... Crazy movieLol Haripotter I read Serbuan maut and actually thought you wrote A Serbian Film instead. Phew!
The lucky thing for Iko owais which sadly Tony Jaa doesnt have is a good film director ....I saw Raid. Badass movie. Believe me, you do not want to know what A Serbian Film is. Pretentious vile garbage. Atleast Tom Six has the guts to call his Human Centipede series as the freak shows that they are.
A brilliant movie from Israel. The scene where the father talks to the suspect describing the killer's MO pushes this movie into horror territory effortlessly.

You have to watch this black comedy thriller. Really funny and disturbing at the same time. Very much like Tarantino and Coen Bros' twisted movies. You laugh when you least expect it and just when you are getting cozy, you get a gut punch.
The lucky thing for Iko owais which sadly Tony Jaa doesnt have is a good film director ....
Tony Jaa movies often directed by Prachya Pinkaeu have poor silly stories & no material except for breathe taking stunts ... same is the case for Jija Yanin..
But in the case of Iko uwais, He has a superb creative director in 'gareth evans' who make the stories & content equally exciting as the daredevil action
Desperately waiting for Raid's sequal 'Berandal'
Thanks for the warning abt serbian films.... It would be torcherous to watch a garbage with a help of Sub-Titles only![]()

Heard good things. Is it available on DVD yet?
mesrine and the prophet
secret in their eyes was just amazing, so was das boot
bump.
any recent, good movies?
I really enjoyed the Korean film The Attorney.
What's it about? Might check this out.
Its a courtroom civil rights type drama not particularly original. The 1980s Korean setting and the excellent Song Kang-Ho separate it from other generic court room dramas however. I really enjoyed it.
Inspired by early life of South Korean president Roo Moo-Hyun and his fight for democracy.
Fan of Korean cinema. Some of their movies are awesome

oh there are too many damn good korean movies to name.. a remake of hong kong movie a better tomorrow, also named a better tomorrow.
Shiri, which is 10-15 years old, awesome awesome movie. Old Boy which has been remade by Bollywood and Hollywood. The Host, I saw the Devil, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Man from Nowhere.. just to name a few.
They are what Hong Kong cinema used to be at one point, .. well actually better. I remember in the 80s and 90s when Chow Yun Fat movies directed by John Woo set the bar high but Korean movies are a notch above in my opinion.
By the way, one of the all time great non Hollywood movies has to be the Hong Kong movie Infernal Affairs which was remade by Hollywood as the Departed.
Crows Zero part 1 and 2, if anyone was into Anime this movie would be amazing.
Seen them. Am still waiting for part three to come out.
Yeah seen all of them except Man from nowhere and Lady vengeance. Old boy literally had the best action sequence I have ever seen in cinema history.

I preferred the Infernal Affairs Trilogy over the Departed, which is almost a line for line rip-off.
I am not talking about Serbian films. I am talking about a film called A Serbian Film. Vile movie.
I downloaded a torrent. It was good quality. So DVD must be there I guess.
The Wailing is the next big movie from Korea. Receiving highly rated praise.
I remember watching "Cannibal Holocaust" (Italian) some years back. Never been more disturbed by a movie. It's peak "Neo-relism" in filmmaking.

Agreed. The director was even quizzed in court to prove the events of the movie were not real.
