To be fair, our problem is we never take responsibility. Instead of accepting our faults we always look for excuses. So what if it was practice match? you will see tomorrow's headlines like this "World Champions lost against Zimbabwe" or Zimbabwe upsets Pakistan etc.

I don't know kya ghol ke pilaya hua hai Afridi ne sab ko. Everyone thinks Afridi is the MASIHA who will fix everything. Accept the fault that Pakistan is the weakest bating side and as I said earlier, instead of going for a bating coach and fix the faults in bating, we always look for bowler to coach the batsmen.

It's a match we were expected to walk over. Changes need to be made.

Kamran Akmal 37 of 27 balls with 4 6s n 1 4s and SR 137 .
definitely there were too many dot balls in his innings and what i know K.Akmal is one of d good batter in world n best in current Pak lineup....so its not easy to play there after having 4 sixes he only maintain SR of 137 with so many dot balls ...it concludes spinner will have greater advantage .....n fortunately we have bhajji ,jadeja n UV n raina pathan can bowl as well .....

i think if ajmal had played today the case would have been different and here Pak can not go for all pace attack this is for sure....

It's good to see most of you guys are accepting the fact that Zimbabwe played better cricket on the day. But warm ups rarely mean anything, teams play 14 players, rest key players and barely gives a reflection of the team's actual strength. What Zimbabwe has ensured is that both Pakistan and Australia will be on their toes, and Bangladesh will have to play much better now if they are to record a win or two.
I hope the BD-Pak game will be a cracker, and good luck to Zim as well.

yeah, i agree, not sure why people are saying we had rested some of the key bowlers and thats why we lost. come on. even our backup bowlers are not bad. and our batsmen should be able to chase 140s total against zim. if we can't manage to do that, then forget it against the big teams (though zim are decent in t20).

anyway, the nice thing about warm up is that its just a warm up, so there is no cost of losing a warm up. its over now and the plus point is losing here would make the players more hungry for victory in coming games and make the team mgmt think about other strategies for batting (e.g. razzaq batting higher, etc).
