Worst bowling action?

Jasprit Bumrah.
would not recommend trying. if a pakistani tried to bowl like that, the chucking allegations will start.

Can’t be serious. I’m no fan of Indian cricket but he’s gotta have the cleanest action amongst fast bowlers in recent memory . And if you analyse it technically (forget about aesthetics or orthodox actions) it’s also gotta be the most economical action in terms of energy expended. Minimum levers rotating, hardly a jump just a nice clean simple action though very unorthodox.

You gotta be trolling mate.

Nice troll. you had me second guessing myself for a second there.

Some of you guys have a very weird idea of ugly bowling actions. Umair gul? Pollock? Seriously?

My picks would be of course Adams followed by, ata ur rehman, Malinga, dinda, bhumra, ashwin (Indian spinners have beautiful smooth actions and Ashwin is such an eyesore), bilal asif, Hafeez, rahat Ali (looked like someone is pushing him to bowl), Prasad, Harmison, nehra, Sarfaraz nawaz, Fannie de villiers,

I find Bumrah's bowling action quite ugly. It feels like he is performing Nazi salute. He is obviously the best in the world currently and he has a clean action but it looks ugly.

Bangladeshi pacer Al-Amin Hossain also had very weird action. It was not pleasing in the eyes.

Bumrah's action is by far the ugliest I have seen in a while. I also think Ashwin's action was pretty ugly.

bumrah and Ashwin, if they were non-big 3 would have been constantly banned/cleared until they lose their confidence and good years.. but this is reality of life... its not fair and sucks so we rest have to live with it ...

as far worst actions i have ever seen, Shaun Pollock. Abey Kuruvella, Atta-ur-Rehman come to mind..

In the second T20I between India and Bangladesh saw a delivery by Riyan Parag being called a no-ball for a very rare reason. Bowling his very first over in the 11th over of the Bangladesh innings, Parag decided to switch things up on the fourth ball. Parag tried a bizarre sling action, somewhat similar to former India batter Kedar Jadhav's wide action. The trick backfired massively, as Parag ended up stepping outside the pitch tramlines, and rightly saw the ball signalled a no-ball.

Paul Adam’s/ Kedar Jadhav in bowling & Fawad Alam in batting are the ugliest I have seen.

Looks like a bug in EA Cricket 2007

Jasprit Bumrah’s action is horrid, one of the worst I’ve ever seen, especially when you consider him a ‘top’ bowler.

Actually Bumrah's action is copied by many young kids these days. I don't find it ugly. It is quirky. Definitely not ugly to me. Arjun Tendulkar's action though is ugly.
Naveen has the Same action without the fully braced front foot.

I would say that Naveemn has quite an awkward action that looks pretty bad.

It is an ugly action and kids who are copying him are doing themselves and their bodies a disservice. Any coach who encourages it is doing them a disservice. It is inefficient and injury-prone

Bumrah’s action works for him and him only - there are some parts of biomechanics that cannot be copied, the hyperextension alone adds a lot.

And on to the injury-prone part of it is serious because he has world class physios and medical facilities to help his recovery, the kids won’t.

The non-bowling arm to the side is a very bad habit, very hard to correct.

And the stuttering run up. Some kids I’ve seen are starting to run like that even when they’re not bowling! Prob the worst running technique ever.

Tt’s an analysis of his action and the dangers of copying it.

Anyone who says Bumrah’s action is not ugly needs to take their blue tinted glasses off.

You are telling me that running in with that fully extended horizontal right arm and a locked fist is a pleasant sight? It looks like the Tin Man running in!

It’s a horrid action.

Does not take away anything from the fact that he’s a top bowler - but please, don’t just defend anything.

What about bowlers who copy akhtar ?

Shoaib had a classical side on action. He had textbook sprint to the wicket. Anyone with a side on action should copy shoaib. His biomechanics and timing were spot on in every aspect.

Obviously some people had a problem with the hyperextension. That is obviously individual to him.

But when we’re discussing run up, acceleration, timing of jump, lock position, front foot contact, knee drive. Everything was brilliant.

Any side on bowler should copy shoaib or Waqar.

Likewise, anyone who is naturally chest on should copy Brett Lee. Again, everything perfect. If you were teaching someone from scratch, you probably would aspire to have an action like Lee.

On the contrary, I wouldn’t advise anyone to copy wasim’s action. Very few will perfect the quick arm with the timing of everything else. Wasim’s action was perfect for him but it also gave him a lot of groin problems.

Shoaib has a great action.
He is a superstar after all.loved watching him stem in

Does anyone remember Paul Adams??? That guy had one of the most difficult yet worst actions as well.

Kedar Jadhav had one of the worst bowling actions; it always felt like he was about to throw an underarm delivery.

The stupidity with his action was that he could only really bowl the googly with it. Certainly a lot of effort for what was effectively an off spinning result (ball spinning back in to the right hander).

He was useful against left handers tho

Hamish Bennett.

He had an aesthetically unpleasant action. If I remember correctly, even posters here made fun of his action (over a decade ago).

What about Shivil Kaushik??

His action looks like a possessed guy bowling.
