As the drums of war beat louder around Iran, one cannot help but wonder if the so-called Muslim ummah will continue to remain mere silent spectators or will they do something for real to defend Iran.

Pakistan for instance never misses a chance to sermonize on Muslim solidarity but in practice has offered nothing more than supportive tweets all while their head of state enjoys his evenings in US. It preaches pan-Islamism while remaining permanently leased to the geopolitical dictates of China, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, each with divergent stances on Iran. One wonders if Islamabad would even flinch if Tehran burned, so long as its sugar daddy in Riyadh was pleased.

Then there’s Turkey, forever fantasizing about a neo-Ottoman revival. President Erdogan often brands himself the leader of the Muslim world and yet Ankara is more interested in real estate in northern Syria, posturing in the Mediterranean or brokering arms deals with NATO. When it comes to Iran, Turkey’s policies remain transactional at best. A loud voice on Palestine, but conveniently mute when Shia blood risks being spilled.

And of course, there’s the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a bloc of over 50 Muslim-majority nations that can pass resolutions by the dozen but couldn’t pass a glass of water to Iran in a time of actual crisis. The OIC has mastered the art of impotent outrage. It excels at issuing strongly-worded statements after the damage is done. When Iraq was invaded, they blinked. When Libya was shattered, they split. If Iran is attacked, expect them to urgently meet in a luxury 7 star hotel to agree on the font size of their next meaningless media brief.

The irony is staggering. Iran, despite its sectarian differences with much of the Sunni world, has stood at the frontline of resistance against Western and Israeli domination whether I agree with them on this or not but I will give them that they took on a mission impossible with little support from the other so called Muslim nations. It has supported causes the rest of the Muslim world only tweets about. If such a nation is destroyed while the “ummah” watches silently or worse, celebrates then the idea of Muslim unity will be exposed for what we always knew it was, a hollow myth peddled by hypocritical regimes and delusional manchilds on the internet that are quick to invoke Islam when convenient but cower when courage is required.

They will never stand for something real but will just keep sitting, watching, and issuing statements from a safe distance as history burns another Muslim nation to the ground.

Russians and Ukranians killing each other since 8 years and all Christian countries are watching?

Not sure what is meant by emphasizing on the ummah. Its every country for itself, like the rest of the world. Raising voices on international forums is correct, and using that voice for something useful is better than nonsense.

Because Christians don’t keep talking about brotherhood!

Q: Would the 55+ nations strong “Muslim World” merely sit back and watch the destruction of Iran from a distance?

Yes.

And I understand that it is "itch" by many to needle the "Ummah" concept but don't expect anything from any "majority Muslim state" as nothing has been done about any other atrocity upon the Muslims by them for close to 100 years.

The rise will be of "Islam" and "Muslims" and not Muslim nation states.

Hindutva are still upset at Indian converts.

You want 2 billion people to march towards Iran?

Not entire muslim nations its the leadership. Some of them are puppets of the west like Pehlavi.
But credit to Iranians they got rid of him in 1979 and established a truly sovereign state in the name of Islam. Something that the west hates.

Inshallah we'll have better leaders in future as we did in our glorious past

Yes they will.

When you keep dividing yourself into sects against the orders of the Quran , you will suffer and suffer badly. No matter how much you prostrate in kaba , nothing will change. because Muslims are destroying the 23 years of hard work of prophet and fighting each other , why should Allah help them?

The whole idea of khilafat was destroyed just after 30 years of death prophet , it was made into Kingship , and we still have shameless Mullahs who try to defend those persons who are responsible in that.

The prophet and sabiqoon companions worked hard , sacrificed a lot to bring about this khilafat.

Hindus do , heck they are all related on this forum.

It’s an ignorant and idiotic OP . Muslims have fought many civil wars even since the beginning. A little history and not Bollywood will teach our veganism friends , Salahudin who liberated Jerusalem, after a longer occupation than Israel’s current existence, firstly defeated multiple Muslim rulers .

Might as well go back to 10000 BC

That is tough. Now.

allah doesn't want to.

Help the helpless.

Allah helps those who want to be helped.

All these people , have they followed the covenant of Allah? if you betray , you will be punished like previous nations.

In the battle of Uhud , when the companions went out to collect the left overs of opposition army , going against instructions of prophet , they suffered loss.

Honest thoughts on the situation currently as a Muslim and not from a Pakistani geopolitical bias?

@Markhor @IAJ @Suleiman @ElRaja @LordJames

No disrespect to other Pakistani posters out there but I thought you all have been generally stayed true to the religion in a genuine manner which I respect despite being a Sanatani.

Some other popular Pakistani posters seamlessly transition between Pro Islamic ideology and Pro Pakistani geopolitically biased ideology so I did not tag them. They know who they are and i hope they can align their thoughts with one ideology and stick to it for good.

It’s not about what you believe in. But about sticking to what you believe in. I always welcome your anti India stance for as long as i see consistency and devotion to one cause on your side.

If i was a muslim I wouldn’t be shamelessly changing my sides depending on what’s convenient and who’s winning.

As stupid as Iran has been, they seem to be the only ones truly fighting for the Palestinians and they’re now fighting a lone battle. It’s not right and even as a Sanatani army conscience tells me to stand in their support in this moment.

On paper all Muslim nations are United, but in reality they are divided…. Everyone searching for its own interest

The headline of this thread is wrong when there is no "strong Muslim world.". The African Muslim countries are helplessly dirt poor where as the Arab's hate Iran while loving the Zionists. It is only Pak, Turkey and Iran who can stand up however as I stated let Iran take some beating for supporting anti Pak elements in their country. Muslim countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Morocco militarily scare no one. It is China and Russia that will come to Iran's aid.

im not even religious bro, but heres the numbers for u

1. iran is shia, saudis have no interest in bolstering shia power in the region, saudis are the defacto political leaders of the sunni muslim world in terms of political direction exluding turkey. pakistan walks a tightrope owing to a population of around 40 to 50 million shias in the country, however sitting between china, the usa and saudi it cant do anymore than pay lip service to the cause without taking on significant political risk. so the richest country, and the best armed muslim countries will not openly enter this conflict on behalf of iran, unless israel does some exceptionally crazy moves which might threaten these countries in the long term.

2. turkey is politically independent but gains nothing from have a strong iran or israel, its interest is in a prolonged low level conflict that keeps both countries busy whilst it solidifies its influence in syria and other regional countries, so turkey, whilst having a lower threshold to entry given political independence, is also unlikely to get directly involved. indonesia is too far away, and india despite having a huge muslim population would never fight a war on their cause.

so in those two points you have removed nations that represent about 800 million muslims from the direct involvement equation.
