Add to the fact that our 3 best players in Australia ODIs were Haris Sohail, M Rizwan and Shinwari.

Isnt it a shame that none of them were part of the eleven in the WC game against Australia.

We need to focus on the players in the squad. Get Haris Sohail in and drop Malik. Shadab in and drop Asif Ali. Umar Akmal would not have done much better. He got his chance and never one much. His level is 30 odd runs. He is heavy and can’t field well either. Umar Akmal lacks fighting spirit. Unfortunately this lad has shot his bolt and is finished.

I think the comparison is being made because Asif and Malik were played as middle order hitters, and Umar Akmal is considered one of a few others who could have played that role. If you just need someone who can make more runs at a steady rate then you would obviously just play Rizwan or Haris. If Asif had not flopped so badly then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Umar Akmal would never have survived the amount of Bounce Coulter Nile and Cummins were extracting in the afternoon.

He would've either gto an LBW with one nipping in or Finch would've had him spooning one in the air

Asif Ali and Sohaib MAqsood are one of the only few players in Pakistan who can hit a bowl for six over extra cover. They have a huge range of shots in the front v. Umar Akmal hitting range is restricted between long on and mid-wicket which is why he tries to hit a bowl on 5th stump towards mid wicket.

While I find this laughable to say the least, this part is incorrect. Umar's range is much better than both Asif and Maqsood. Shame he is just too dumb to ever be able to utilize it.
