You know things are bad in Pakistan cricket if players like Sarfraz are hailed as stars.
 
When Babar Azam is your best batsman, Hassan Ali is your best bowler, Fakhar Zaman is your biggest match-winner, Yasir is your specialist spinner, and Sarfraz is your captain.

Don't think this is applicable to today's team.
2015's wc team would be a lot more suited to this joke.

Misbah your best batsman. Wahab riaz your best bowler. There isn't a match winner in that team. Yasir shah is still your specialist spinner. Misbah is your captain.

See... a whole lot worse.

Pak aint won a match for months, but they will peak in time for the world cup.
 
When your number 10 and 11 look better than some of your other batsmen.
 
When our fans are doing bhangra for restricting England to less than 400.

When the minnowest team of the tournament beats you in a warm up match convincingly.
 
When you are forced to justify losing to Afghanistan by saying 'oh its just a warmup'.
 
When Shinwari should have been selected in your WC squad.
 
When you have to get ur calendar out to find out which year pak last actually won a game of cricket!
 
When an Afghani opener who is yet to play 10 ODIs asks one of your premiere pacers by hand gestures to back off and then hitting him for 3 more boundaries in the same over making the total to 5. Never have i imagined this in my wildest dreams considering the kind of fiery and talented cricketers we have produced in the past. :(
 
When your Captain brings a leg spinner in the 49th over, in a small ground defending 14 in 2 overs against a set lefti ....

When you used up 7 bowlers and it still wasn't enough to contain Afghanistan.

This has been our story for a number of years now. We have been reduced to running our mouths against superior teams and seeking solace in their defeats.

We could have possibly learnt it from our indian friends, who used to do this throughout the 90s.
I remember all my indian friends response to pakistan winning the 1992 wc was but we beat you, so we must be the true world champions.
Inferior complexes dont just belong to pak fans.

I remember it being bad. We were such a bad team. It's just that after 9 years, it seems like it was a lot better than it actually was.

The reason for their bad run was losing waqer younis to injury. People here are too young to have seen waqar in his prime, before his injuries. He was no 1. bowler in the world rankings iirc and i can honestly say the greatest bowler ive ever seen.

No we just had pathetic management that didn't know how to handle the talent we had at hand.

But there is enough quality to work with for the future and we should enjoy this tournament regardless :)

Beyond that, it's also worth pointing out we won 8 out of 10 ODI series prior to the 92 WC. Of the two defeats, one was to the West Indies and the other was a World Series defeat in Australia but we had reached the tournament final

Pakistan's innings was 111 mins
 
When you can see few "passionate" fans are active, but not posting in PAK's game thread ..........
 
You know things are super bad when you have Imam Ul Haq as an opener for a WC game. He wouldn't even be in the playing 11 for any gully mohalla team.

You know things are bad when you know that this thread is going to be active. You know things are bad when you were glad filth such as Hasan Ali came on to bowl so that WI could score the runs quicker and put us out of our misery.
 
When wins against BD and afg will be consolation wins but you can't even guarantee you'll win them.
 
When your captain is yawning is a crucial group stage match against India while he doesn’t even merit a spot in the team
 
Indian posters are begging Fakhar to smash Shankar.
Edges by Indian batsmen are unlucky missed wickets.
Rohit Sharma scored a 140. So what. He was too chicken to take first strike vs Amir.
