Hope you like my selection.Very competitive team .Chose VVS instead of Dravid as he had more prowess and match-wining abiility.Virat's oustanding batting on last tour influenced his inclusion .Jasprit was simply a class act on this tour.Miandad was not at his best in Australia or Vengsarkar.

Murali was garbage in Australia. I would change him for Kumble (or Mushtaq Ahmed).

Murali out and Bedi in. 7 tests, average of 27.51, 3 5-fers and 1 10-fer.

The Indians were usually exceptional against Australia. We all know about Sachin, Kohli, and VVS' exploits against them. Kapil was possibly the best Asian pacer ever in Australia.

Bumrah is arguable, but since he is one of the few who actually won a series there, his inclusion is justifiable.
 
I will bet if Murali had played more tests in Aus, he would hav corrected his record.

I used to think he was never good enough in Aus but over time my views have changed. Its just he played in 4 tests under extraordinary circumstances (newbie, ball tampering allegations).

I hav seen Murali turn the ball a mile even on those pitches. He would have done great.

Had he played in the recent series, he would have averaged sub 20. lol.

I'm a little skeptical about Dravid. The man averages 41 in Australia, which is good but nothing spectacular. And the only good series he has ever had there was in 03/04 when both McGrath and Warne were missing. He failed in the other 3 times he toured Australia.

Good list except Murali. Can be replaced by Kumble. Also, VVS can come in at 3. His inning at Sydney came batting up the order only.

Hard to put Dravid or Pujara there because I don't want to leave VVS and Sanga is my keeper.
