Your least favorite moment from a Pakistan perspective in World Cup 2019

Thought I might make this thread given we have one for most favorite moment.

For me it's the collective number of dropped catches we saw across so many games. I thought we had improved quite a bit in fielding in last few years but this year has been horrible.

In terms of just the most sad part was obviously seeing Williamson get out against India as with that I knew we were out.

I know Sarfaraz says that yawning is not a sin but I can't imagine a true leader line Imran Khan would have done this in any game let alone wc game and that too against India. Captains body language is so important for his team, opposition and team supporters. This was my least favorite moment when Sarfaraz was found yawning.

Sarfraz yawning. It summed up everything.

His leadership, his personality, his future, the status of Pakistan cricket today and the gigantic gulf between Pakistan and India today. I truly felt embarrassed for being a Pakistani.

IMO, worst moment was when Pakistan lost to India, and within that framework any friends and I who are passionate Pakistan cricket fans were completely disgusted with a very biased Indian British commentator Isa Guha’s one sided, extremely pro India slanted remarks against Pakistan bowler Mohammed Amir ��. She should have been reprimanded by the ICC yet was not �� it’s also interesting how none of the Indian commentators (maybe with one small exception)ever utter a single negative put down against any of the Indian cricketers, while people like Ramiz Raja seem to have made it their mission in life to cut down our players throughout their commentaries during this World Cup 2019 ��

Totally agree with you, Sarfaraz is a gem of a leader who helped bring Pakistan back from the brink when they won the last few matches surprising even the most diehard PK fans! The main reason he was chosen as team Captain is because he has very strong Faith along with ethical and moral values which guide him every moment of every day, and which is why he will never engage in any kind of illegal or improper conduct on or off the field. He’s an excellent role model for all the younger players as well �� which is why he’s highly respected by them.

It would’ve been better if Sarfaraz had covered his mouth when yawning like Kholi does �� joking aside I feel that everyone’s making way too much of a big deal about this, after all he might’ve had his MA adorable toddler son keeping him awake perhaps?

Went to Nottingham from London the night before the match, got to the ground about 25 minutes after start of play, and in about another 25 minutes the match was over for us however I did enjoy every other game I attended inc the Australia game, which we should have won if our players had some self belief.

This hasn't been mentioned, but not being able to establish bigger margins of victory against England, New Zealand, and Afghanistan, which would have ultimately helped out our net run rate after the West Indies disaster. We could have easily bundled up England for much less than 334 and fewer overs if Root wasn't dropped, keep in mind we had them at 118/4. We should have broken up the partnership between Neesham and Colin too when we had NZ at 83/5, we should have never let them get to 237. And not to mention, in the matches against New Zealand and especially Afghanistan, we unnecesarily dragged out our run chase to the very LAST over, chasing what? 230-240? Other teams would have gotten this over with by the 40th or at the most 42nd over. Pakistan had no match awareness.

I think most spirit-crushing moment from Pakistan was when Shoaib Malik got bowled against India (golden duck). He generally does well against India so it was surprising to see.

I know not his fault but still ... Why did Pakistan not have the killer instinct- to win & win big !
They need to hone their pace bowling talent and then they will roar again.

In hindsight Carlos Brathwhaite being caught at the boundary against New Zealand.

Also Imams dismissal against Australia where we were looking solid and seemed like we would chase down the score.
