May give my age away but the Sharjah one - the last ball six - is what I remember the most and for a good reason!

How about you?

1996 WC QF
2011 WC SF
2003 Centurion

T20s - 2007 T20 Final

Epic matches.

1996 WC QF....first time I ever saw India Pak match on TV.

Then 1998 Independence cup 3rd final in Dhaka.

2004 Karachi ODI where we nearly chased 350. Drama and atmosphere was off the charts.

Will be some jamodi for Pakistani fans.
Me well 2003 wc.Started watching cricket that year only and was unaware of the existing rivalry between the two teams and then came the matchday. Will never forget it.

Haha same, it's always the first match that pops into my head in threads like this. Truly fell in love with the sport after that match.

When Miandad hammered Sharma for a last ball sixer to win the tournament. That match is frozen in time for me.

1985 Benson & Hedges cup ( India won but seeing both sides field was hilarious. It is as if fielders were not trying to field but just escorting ball to boundary which in itself was rare) :)))
Nah just kidding.
Well for a Pakistani fan perspective obviously they will cherish where Pakistan won and vice versa with Indian fans.
But if we ignore which team won the match factor... and list just for nail biting drama finish
Then
1986 Miandad six match
2007 T 20 Wc2007 final

1.1996 Quarter finals
2.Rajesh Chauhan six Match at Karachi
3. Independence cup Dhaka final
4. Wc 2003 Centurion
And several others ..

The Hrishikesh Kanitkar boundary match during the independence cup was also nail biting.

Also, the Harbhajan Six against Amir even though a low profile match in comparison.

The couple of Sixes by Afridi in the last over also came during a tense battle, however the independence cup final was definitely a very memorable victory at that time.

Came here to type that out. It was also the first match I had seen live in the ground. The atmosphere was unreal.

I still remember dada refusing to leave the field when the match was interrupted due to light. First Sachin's 41 of 26 balls, and then a masterstroke from Azhar sending Robin Singh at 3, as Dada and Robin played like champions. What a match!

There are 3 matches, I really wish I was in the stadium. The 2004 1st ODI. The 98 Chennai test and 01 India Australia Eden Gardens test. All matches had unbelievable cricket and a great atmosphere.

2003 WC SF ! What an exhibition !

The 2007 T20WC final comes next. Balanced sides, tight match.

2011 might be a sweeter victory, but the quality of cricket wasn't great.

2007 T20 wc final has to be the greatest t20 match of all time involving any team.

2003 centurion

1996 wc qf

The Dhaka chase-I think world record at that time.

Yes that Dhaka chase easy World Record. Chasing 300 was unheard of in those days.

2004 ODI in karachi. Inzi and the two Y's nearly chased 350+ target.

1999 test match. Sachin-Dravid cleaned out by Shoaib akhtar

2006 Karachi test. Mohammad Asif special against Indian batting lineup.

2014 Asia cup ODI. Afridi 6

Memorable ones have been the real high stake encounters which we've lost... 96 WC QF, 2011 WC SF, T20 Final. I think they are memorable partly because we lost... had we won, they would go down as just more Indian beatings at our hand, which were routine for a long time and still maintain our H2H lead :)

Well matches like Miandad 6 thankfully from Indian fan perspective ended a trundler like Chetan Sharma's career and laid way for bowlers like Srinath etc and also gave Miandad a post retirement job where he can talk about those things.

Similarly Afridi 6's extended Afridi's career which I don't think is a win is it? and Ashwin had to show great mental strength to become the No 1 bowler in the world to bounce back from that :).

Insignificant games but atleast there was an upside even if we had to remember them.

On the other hand 2011 SF-moved ahead to Win the world cup, T20 WC-Reason why T20 even exists today as a relevant format and birth of the IPL...even insignificant game like Dhaka chase was a WC record which showed barriers can be breached

So I am ok losing 10 cool cool and Kitply cups if 1 one win over pak results in altering the course of history.

Definitely the 1st ODI of the Samsung series in 2004 when Pakistan nearly chased 350!

What an amazing game it was - I believe our total of 344 was the hghest score whilst batting 2nd at the time.

Amazing memories!!

2007 T20 match which ended in bowl out. Pakistan had leveled the score after hitting two boundaries. Just needed one run of two balls and when they ran at the last ball, I was half afraid that Sreesant will not be able to collect that throw from Yuvraj. And then came the bowl out where Pakistan bowlers couldnt hit the stumps even once :)) whereas Indian part timers did the job for their captain. That match still gives me goosebumps.

1. 1996 quarter final
2. 2007 T20 final
3. 1992 WC match due to Javed Miandad antics
4. 2003 match for Sachin
5. Match which Hrishikesh Kanitkar won by hitting 4.

2014 Asia Cup- Afridi sixes
2012 T20- match was on Christmas day, Hafeez MOM in a low scoring thriller in India

I thought the last ball was going for six. :sree

Dude 4 or 5 were required of the last ball and the Indian bowler I think it was Pathan or Zaheer bowled a full toss and Moin Khan missed it.

Moin was caught.

Actually the shot I was referring to was probably when Malik was caught by Kaif when 10 off 8 were needed.

Was pretty young at the time :afridi so didn't really know what all was going on but it was a great experience, fantastic atmosphere.

Was Nehra I think. Miandad was getting all restless in the dressing room and giving tips from gestures.
