Fair.

This will be in the back of his mind next time he wants to blabber on some garbage behind the stumps.

Its just right in the lead so far with 55% of the vote.

We all have done the same while playing cricket in Pakistan, more as a sign of frustration and talking to our teammates rather the opposition.

If you have played cricket in Pakistan this is common "Abey out ho ja kia khaa k aya hai atak he gaya hai". "Abey out ho ja out ho ja". In both case we are not asking or telling the player to get out rather its a sign of frustration to us and our teammates and sometimes a light hearted remark towards teammates.

Please read old posts and the context before posting.

Couldn’t care less what Abey means, you don’t bring someone’s colour or their parents into it, is it that hard to understand?

I think, Sarfraz's days as Captain are over. I have seen the body language of PAK players today and obviously the Captaincy as well, also team won convincingly - I am sure PCB isn't that dumb. Now, Malik will lead in 4 more games and chances are high that he'll win T20 series, might be even both series and Rizwan was put at 4 today after brilliant keeping (my hunch is someone is desperately expecting Rizwan to score some runs, so that ....:) ) - it'll be impossible for PCB to reinstate Sarfraz against AUS - PAK under Malik will crash this AUS side on UAE tracks. After that, no way Sarfraz will return as Captain, might not be even as player, while his Test Captaincy career is basically over.

Over the last 2 years PCB has protected Sarfraz wrapping in wool regarding his Captaincy & Keeping - now that'll backfire. Had there been a younger deputy, PCB would have gone back to Sarfraz, but it'll be tough now. Also, Malik has burnt his hand in past - once bitten twice shy, I am sure he has been brought into confidence before accepting the job, that this tenure will be different from his last one. He is well established now, married to an Indian celebrity and has earned enough (with more potential in media, PL/SLs, movies, coaching), he won't have accepted the hassle knowing that his professional & personal life can be ruined by a sect.

Yep thats true and me and others have said that. We need to change as a society too and go above such things. But it was not a racist remark to mock him..

You have followed Pakistan cricket long enough to know how we start brightly when there’s a new captain after a procession of bad results

Malik is in a totally different atmosphere now compared to 2007 when he first accepted the captaincy. Back then he was very young, had disgruntled senior players to deal with

Now he is the most senior player in the side along with Hafeez so will be easier for him to stamp his authority

I think it's fair, he's out of the series.

Although he wasnt intentionally being racist, you can't referece a persons colour when playing sport. ICC had to ban him for some matches.

plus he's not really the type to go hard on the players to the point where players start resenting him....like sarfraz
