He can bowl with loop, flight, can vary his pace, can bowl a googly and a flipper. Yes he can be expensive but that also invites wicket taking opportunities.

Abrar since his first innings debut has been completely exposed as a gun barrel straight ineffective spinner who can be easily negotiated by most batters even on a spinning track due to his slow trajectory and lack of pace. He is a T20 spinner and will only be effective when batters are under pressure to go after him from ball one which will not be the situation in test cricket.

He bowls well in patches and it's always thrilling to see a leg spinner when everything is going their way.

But he averages 36 in Pakistan FC cricket and could barely buy a wicket in any format in international cricket either.

We are better off with Noman or Sajid than this guy

He looked good but I would not hype any spinner against our own batting. Some of the batting today was atrocious. 230 target with no demons in pitch. When our premiere replacement of Rizwan hyped up Mohammed Haris is just played a blind slog across the line even with RR under 5 them you can't really say the bowlers special.

He's a streaky bowler.

Even in domestic cricket, he gets spanked a lot and then randomly comes up with a good performance where everything lands properly.

It's kind of sad considering a veteran spinner should be able to progress better than this. He is as streaky as a 20-year-old leggie would be coming up the ranks.

You're jumping the gun bro, zahid is awful. Don't get into the habit of seeing one innings and assuming their the one to select.

He bowls with flatter trajectory and hardly gets any spin.. dont think he will do anything good in Test cricket.

Rubbish bowler who gets demolished internationally. Unfortunately, he doesn't get the prospect of playing against Pakistan that is littered with mediocre batsmen who can't play spin. Despite that, he holds a 36+ average in domestic.

Funny enough his last Test match was vs England where Abrar took 7 wickets in the first innings on debut vs England. Meanwhile, Zahid got absolutely annihilated and went over 8 runs an over (in Tests!) in the first innings and got his only wickets against tail enders in the first innings. 5 of his 6 wickets were vs tail enders in that match after England happily smashed him into pieces.
