He was being force-fed and over-instructed by Afridi.
Afridi was running to him after every ball trying to force him to bowl in a particular way.
Poor captaincy. Just let Imran bowl freely. Needs confidence.

The pitch was a poor 1 for T20 standards.
Hard to hit dibbly dobbly type bowlers on these surfaces when he ball keeps stopping so hard to time.
Therefore I wouldn't be too harsh on the batsman.
