I am surprised you havent mentioned Imran,Wasim,Waqar,Sarfraz & Qadir as your first string.

Only bowlers you can avail of are Irfan & Gul. Irfan would be handy and very handy with his bounce and pace, Gul has been a bit offcolour in test of late.

The sad truth of the matter (and saying it as a cricket fan who used to look enviously at the bowlers from across the border that could wrap it up in a session) is that Pakistan has not got a tearaway bowler since Rawalpindi Express retired and your best wicket taking option is a spinner!

Ajmal is pure class but usually we have come to expect one genuine pace merchant in the Pakistani line up.

Yeah but I'm just saying that the talent is still there but due to whatever reasons, it is not accessible. Had Amir and Asif not done what they did, nobody would be saying that Pakistan's bowling standards have dropped.

Pace is not everything but you do need one or two express bowlers in the team to unsettle the batsmen. And by express I mean consistently bowling at 88-90 MPH. I did not watch the game today but did Junaid bowl that fast today?
